Mini Mortgage the Future

I'm sorry you cannot read.
I'm also sorry you do not understand that guaranteeing 10 million of salary on a player with 5 years remaining on his contract causes the 10mil to be spread equally over the next 5 years. You also must have missed the fact that Revis contract explicit allows the team to unilaterally do that.

Perhaps if you tried to learn something instead of being a dbag and embarrassing yourself, you would (a) learn something and (b) not look like an @ss.
I am trying to learn something. I politely asked you how you got the figures you had and your response was pure gibberish.

Yes I'm aware they can unilaterally convert his 2014 salary to a bonus (without lowering future amounts owed.) Of course, there isn't a player in the league who wouldn't be willing to convert their 2014 salary to a bonus (without lowering future amounts owed) so I don't see why that's such a big deal here.

The only one looking like an ass here is you for think Revis is going to take less than what he has due. Don't get pissy at me for accurately pointing out how clueless you are.

Also trade future draft picks into this years draft. They will play on a 4 yr contract (some 5) which will be enough for the rest of Brady's career.

I agree 1000% with this.

My response showed the math that you couldn't understand.
Do it yourself. Take his 3 mill of bonusses and 13 mill of salary. Convert 10 mill to bonus. What do you get? Do the same thing the following year. What do you get? Its not that hard.

Its a big deal because you seem incapable of understanding it.

Thanks for saying I don't look like an @ss because nothing I ever posted at any point even suggested he take a penny less.
You appear to be the clueless one.

DO the math yourself genius. Then come back and apologize, if you are capable of admitting you are wrong.

Maybe we can pay him in bitcoins and unicorn horn shavings while we're at it. Everything you've written above does nothing to change the fact that Belichick is not going to pay $16 million per year for him, no matter how it is structured. There is no way he comes here on his current deal, period, end of discussion. (EDIT: Please note that I feel he is getting cut by Tampa this week, so once that happens, we are no longer hindered by his current deal)

All the rest is you just making a fool of yourself and being too stubborn to admit your idea was moronic because it does nothing to change the fact that Belichick is not going to pay $16 million per year for him.

Guregian says Mankins said no restructure for him ........

Damn nobody wants to restructure lol. How much on the cap would they save if he's cut?

When a guy says he is unwilling to restructure, what he means is he is unwilling to restructure down.....

Gotcha, so now that you realize you were too ignorant to understand the concept of talk like an adult about, you pull the "BB wouldn't do it" card.

Of course, as was pointed out a few times, this was an idea of a different approach locks up the best corner tandem in the league for a 2 year run, at the expense of dumping it into year 3 and taking a one year hit. But you dug yourself into way too deep a hole to discuss the concept, you had to double down with being a dbag. You must be so proud.

No, I'm not proud. Outwitting the likes of you is certainly nothing to be proud about. It would be more of a challenge to debate a 4 year old, especially since the 4 year old would make more sense.

This is me being an adult and putting the child on ignore.

I'm all for paying Talib top dollar. Just as long as the contract is structured so he won't get his money unless he's on the field. ie $40MM for 4 years with $15MM guaranteed, $10MM of which comes as a signing bonus. He gets the rest of the $35MM on snap driven incentives.

Well so much for that idea.
