Next Stop, the Underwear Olympics

Given the depth that this draft is supposed to have, I don't see any way, short of a Richard Seymour type player sliding into the teens, that BB trades up at the high end of the draft.

Just my $.02

I think Ebron and not Donald would be the gamechanger in a trade up scenario.

I very much doubt BB trades up at all, and probably not higher than the low 20's, but I agree that Donald and possibly Ebron are the wild card game changers.

I don't know if BB would trade a 2015 1st under any circumstances. But, how high would you consider trading for Aaron Donald:

- 29 + 93 gets us into the high 20's if Donald slips past Dallas at 17.
- 29 + 62 gets us into the range of Dallas at #17. They traded back last year.
- 29 + 62 + a 2015 pick gets us into the range of St. Louis at 13.
- Dominique Easley might be available at 62, and certainly with a trade back from 29.

I think Donald is the best defensive player in the draft, so I'd probably trade up to 17. Maybe farther.

If he's there at 13 then i would go 1-2-3 if needed IF we getting a trade for Mallett ( counting on it really since BoB have to take Clowney )

Considering he showed Geno Atkins numbers, BB sayed he should have been #1 pick looking back at it.

doubt he'd even take Donald. Too much of a one gapper for him. He'd trade down if someone really wanted him.

Has just become a strong Pats contender at 29 with that length and 3 cone (if he lasts that long).

Sorry if I've done that to you.

To give you an idea of how strongly I feel ... I'd rather take a TE or WR.

I know I've come across harsh with Tuitt but I'd rather take Tuitt at 29 than Ealy at 62. I really don't see it.

The thing is, with this draft as deep as it is, isn't it the perfect year to trade back to the early/mid 2nd round, and pick up some later picks? [Actually, it'd be the perfect year to have extra high-round draft picks, period.]

I'd rather have Ealy.

Ealy needs work, but you have to remember that he is far from a finished product. He's raw with a lot of upside and, from what I've seen, his number one problem is with his consistently high pad level. That is extremely coachable. Would he be my first choice at DE? Hell no. As a matter of fact, I'm beginning to become more and more convinced that we need to pick up a DE in free agency because that's the one position where this draft doesn't have a whole hell of a lot of depth. But, if the Pats decided to take him, his flaws can be fixed (time in the weight room with a professional condition coach, coached up on using his hands more, coached up on lowering his pad level, etc.).

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 1m
Former Colts GM Bill Polian just said on ESPN's NFL Insiders that he projects Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo to be a first-round pick.

Awwww.....

I saw that game. He looks like a guy that can be worked into a rotation at first until they add some bulk to him. Again, I would preferably go elsewhere with DE but I wouldn't exactly be sitting in a dark room with a revolver and a bottle of Jim Beam if the Pats took him (should he fall to #29).

I'm warming to him. I like his versatility in that he can probably line up at RDE, interior sub-rusher and SLB. And I do think BB is going to like that 3 cone. Explosion scores were a little bit ordinary though (1.66 10 yd, 31" vert).

Brock Vereen, brother of @Patriots @ShaneVereen34, had most bench reps among DBs w/ 25.

Shane was pretty strong too.

I wouldn't want Ealy used as an interior sub rusher right out of the gates. He needs to work on his strength a bit. He looked totally overpowered facing double teams at Mizzou.

He'll be much better than Dobson. He's a mixture of Alshon Jeffery and Keenan Allen.

I immediately thought of Keenan Allen when I watched Allen Robinson. Very physical receiver, good hands, who is very underrated with ability after the catch.

Tyler Starr = 6.64 3 cone.

Edit: Mayo can start to get excited by Trent Murphy again - 2nd amongst linebackers with 6.78. Would have been second amongst DEs too. Ryan Shazier - 6.91.

Kareem Martins numbers are very simulary to Chandler Jones, minus 3cone time - abit slower there but hes also at 272 lbs.....

Yeah. I'm going to have to check him out too.
