Seattle Seahawks - Denver Broncos Super Bowl Pre-Game Thread

So when is the power going to go out?

The biggest difference between our defense and the Seahawks defense is depth in their front 4, they have a starting lineup of:
• LE-Bryant
• DT-McDaniel
• NT-Mebane
• RE-Clemons

Then they have these players who are all starting caliber players:
• DE-Bennett
• DE-Avril
• DE/LB-Irvin
• DT-McDonald

They can use Bryant and Bennett inside and outside so they’re always fresh and ready to play. Our defense we have our ends playing the level of reps that most teams secondary players play, and our tackles on the field for 80% of the snaps.

You need to have two starters at DT before you worry about depth.

Headline on NFL .com: "Duck hunt." Ouch

Not anymore. GOodell must have called and fired someone.

this is what a great defense gets you...i wish we had half the D Seattle does. What a showing so far in the first half

It is just hitting me that in a couple of hours there will be no football for 6 months...Now I 'm sad.

I agree as well except that Brady played a million times better than Peyton.

A million might not be enough.

Peyton playing like Tony Champagne Eason

At least Champagne Tony got a FG on the board first. And then the crushing began.

THIS ladies and gentleman is why i LOVE the bravado and arrogance of Sherman.

BB needs to cut his guys loose next season and let them be who they are, we've got some studs on D that all happened to get injured. Next year is going to be a good one i feel.

I had no intention of watching this game, but I got roped into doing the cooking and ended up hearing and seeing the entire first half while I was doing it.

Great stuff. I'm hoping it continues this way in the second half. The Manning apologizing will be on a scale never before seen if it happens, and I don't think anyone wants to miss out on that.

Brady's 1 INT in SB46 was trying a bomb to a 6'6 TE in 1 on 1 coverage to a LB that was teaching a month earlier. Injured Gronk should've still won that battle.

Brady played great in SB46. Gfy trolls.

6 months of Peyton throwing ducks in highlight packages? BEAUTIFUL i say

Once again it's proving out that defense wins championships.
Might want to think twice when advocating that Brady's weapons should be the number 1 priority of this organization.
Nope!!
It's all about the defense.

i don't think anyone here saw this coming..i didn't at all
That's a flat-out lie.

Plenty of individuals were pretty much expecting this result along time ago. I know I was. In fact, I made a point of that in this thread: http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...63503-denver-seahawks-better-team-so-far.html
The Seahawks are the more complete team. The Broncos O might be the best at this current moment but we've seem better offenses falter down the stretch because that style isn't sustainable especially come playoff time.

A good defense is pretty much always good, especially in the playoffs - where games get tighter, and more physical. If you have a good D you always have a shot. Denver's D hasn't been impressive at all and once their offense starts to sputter, it's gameover for them. Or basically the same thing that happened to them last season.

If they played right now on a neutral site, Seattle would win handedly.

Seattle has the perfect defense to shut down the Broncos O and once you do that, they're done because their defense stinks.

On offense, Seattle runs the ball effectively enough that it would keep Manning off the field. That's exactly the type of team the Broncos would lose to. If they played today at a neutral site the Broncos would lose.
So this result shouldn't be all that surprising to anyone.

Even casual football fans know the real Super Bowl was played 2 weeks ago in the NFCCG. The physicality and tenacity brought forth in that game dwarfs anything Denver is used to seeing. The Broncos are not adept at this brand of football and look like they don't even belong on the same field. This is merely a validation prize for the Seahawks.

Funny how a little of pressure on any QB makes even the ones who are perceived to the best ever look very ordinary. We've seen it time and time again, painfully, that great offenses and specifically great QBs don't look so hot when faced with a defense that brings a lot of pressure.

Defense (still) wins championships.

Bruno Mars is crushing it ...

Remember what happened when Rex did the same in NY?

Lots of injury excuses on OrangeMane, amazing how they are/were the only team dealing with injuries this season, how did they survive???
