Kraft found nice things to say about Albert Haynesworth for the five minutes he was here. If he could get someone like Sherman on board, I'm sure he'd be fine.

there i said it. I don't mind peyton winning it all. peyton is classy guy who respects the game. and peyton winning his 2nd only fuels Brady & pats fire. it only adds to the legacy of this great rivalry.

i just can't stand guys like richard sherman. i really can't stand him. sherman winning it all will not be fun. imagine all the trash talk he will say every time he is getting interviewed.

anybody with me?

obnoxious dude is obnoxious

Peyton is a classy guy who squats on trainers faces because they vulgar mouths!!

Sherman did not do himself or Stanford any favors last night, but look folks, "That's Entertainment!!"

I think he's pretty childish, but you know what? So are the vast majority of these NFL players.

It's not just a Peyton or Sherman choice. At this point I don't want Welker getting a ring more than Sherman which is saying something. Plus I like Pete and really like Russell Wilson. Wilson to me has a lot of similarities to Brady so I am rooting for him in the SB above all.

Best case scenario Sherman gets toasted a few times and Chancellor or Thomas knock Welker out to pay him back for his cheap shot or WW drops the game winner.

I could never cheer for anybody with the last name Manning.

People are mad at Sherman for being honest less than 5 minutes after making the biggest play of his life. As Peter King wrote, that's why there is a cooling off period after games, because players are fired up. He did not swear, and he only talked about on field stuff.

People on this very board who hate what Sherman is about spent years cheering for guys like Larry Bird and Kevin Garnett who did the exact same sorts of things. How many of you were loving it when Reggie Miller did a far worse version of this to Spike Lee and the MSG fans?

It's really interesting to see fans on this board call Sherman a 'thug' for speaking his mind to the media on one hand, and then turning around and saying 'good for Belichick' for speaking his mind to the media on the other.

Honestly how often to white players get called "thugs?" That is a sneaky racist term, and Richard Sherman has never done anything at all to earn that moniker. No arrests, doesn't even swear in the postgame interview, and yet he's a thug. Primetime I agree with you 100%

I'm currently undergoing a complete overhaul on my opinion of Richard Sherman. I read that blog post posted in another thread and I was cracking up at the memory of this post game interview. Especially the part where he yelled LOB (Legion of Boom) and the guy joked that he could have been yelling LLBean and giving a shoutout to a sponsor. I don't know why I find this is so funny but I can't stop snickering.

Aaron Hernandez is a thug. Richard Sherman is pure entertainment who can back it up.

No way I want to see Manning hoist the Lombardi. Sherman will be his own undoing, and I suspect a title will tear the Hawks apart. As I see it:
(1) Niners may implode after too many near misses;
(2) The Donkeys may implode after feeling the 2007 Patriots burn; and
(3) The Hawks will ultimately come unglued, but the title and success will add some gasoline to that fire.

I will claim jealousy as a result of the ending of the 2007 season with all of its records, but I will choke on the months of media love and talk of magical seasons if the Donkeys win. I can deal with the likely post-title criminal stories from the Hawks. I love True Crime stories, and they may have a new installment every two weeks with that cast.

If both teams could lose, I could accept that result as well.

yea i think branding him as a thug is overzealous and haphazard

Have the Hawks ever won a Superbowl? I think they are due anyway, especially after the Pitt travesty from years ago.

1. i don't get people who hate on welker - he was a great player for us. he isn't perfect. it's our fault not keeping him. i have no hard feelings

2. i don't get people who hate the media slobbery of peyton - go watch any of brady's SB runs. media slobbed all over our golden boy all the time

I can't stand loudmouth players and the talent doesn't matter. I'm still trying to come to grips with the idea that Sherman's lack of respect is a 'breath of fresh air' to anyone.

I can't stand Peyton Manning.

I don't care too much for the NFC either.

Then again, Denver isn't one of my favorite teams.

Okay, I'll go with the Broncos in this one, but that could change when it comes to game time.

It's a breath of fresh air to people because most are tired of the boring, emotionless scripted answers.

I'm going back and forth on this. Yesterday before the punk sherman interview, I badly wanted Broncos to lose. After that segment, I really wanted Manning to school this punk in super bowl. Now after hearing from BB his reactions this morning, I would hate to see that little snivel get a ring,

i'm not sure man, screw all of this

well, i guess i want the punk to get punked by manning and manning to choke at the end.

that will make everyone happy. :p

seahawks are winning the superbowl IMO....you see that defense yesterday? they were unstoppable basically rushing the QB and generating turnovers. gore is a much better RB than moreno and he could barely muster any yards on the ground.

not sure I agree with Belichick's comments - that is, if BB was saying it was a deliberate attempt to injure. He said it was a "deliberate attempt to take out Talib by the receiver." but this is a bit cryptic. Does he mean "take him out of the play" or "take him out of the game?"

welker's play was no different than edelman's pick on DRC. in either case I don't think the receiver was trying injure the defender.

no kidding, man. I feel better about losing the AFCCG, and most people will think I'm crazy, but they are better of losing yesterday. Seattle would have destroyed this Pats team. Sherman, Chancellor, etc. would have a field day against Edelman, Amendola, and Dobson. Even with Gronk in there, I don't see us winning against Seattle. I would rather lose the AFCCG than lose the super bowl. Losing the super bowl does something to your team mentally - for the most part they aren't the same team the following year. Not only that, Brady's legacy would take an enormous hit with him being 3-3 in super bowls.

**** Sherman is a punk.

Manning is our rival, but he is nothing but class. He is disliked only because he is Brady's rival. If that's the only reason to root for Sherman over Manning than that's petty.

I currently live in Denver and pray to the good lord the Broncos don't win the Superbowl.
