2014 Draft Prospect Thread

How about Easley and Nix?

It would be equally effective. But here's the thing with Nix; as a two gapper, he is no more effective than Daniel McCullers, and McCullers will be available in the 3rd round.

Boooooooooooo!

This is why I like this forum though. Everyone has their opinions and favorite prospects, but no one accuses eachother of being homers, personal attacks, or pages of arguing. Manx is right, the draft forum is a place of peace among these parts.

I too would take Manziel... the ceiling is so high.

That floor is pretty low too though. The only reason, as a fan, why I wouldn't want Manziel on my team is that my heart wouldn't be up to it. There's so much potential frustration to Manziel's game. I could see him leading the league in TD runs, TD throws and interceptions thrown.

Edit. Just watching Manziel against Vandy and I really like the way Manziel throws his receivers into an ability to get YAC - there's not many hospital passes.

Now here's a crazy notion. Bearing in mind how much Jeff Fisher likes athletic upside, is trading Sam Bradford to a QB needy team and drafting Manziel a possibility? With their two first round picks, they could also draft Mike Evans and make Manziels' transition easier. I'd be good with that if I was a Rams fan.

I can't imagine STL taking a QB.

The one problem with the notion of trading Sam Bradford is that the Rams aren't exactly starved for draft picks, so what do they ask for? A pick in next year's draft?

Would love to see Johnny getting crushed in NFC West. Off all the Places this is the best place for him to land. Imagine him running directly into Bowman or Willis

No thanks.

The New England Patriots do not need to draft yet another wide receiver especially with T.J. Moe on Injured Reserve, Mark Harrison on NFI, and Sam McGuffie on the Practice Squad.

The over under on the total NFL passes caught from this group is 5.

WR is like most positions, more talent would help. Especially with their best WR being a free agent (Edelman)

More so at the defensive tackle position especially considering the age of the following players:

Tommy Kelly - 33 years old
Vince Wilfork - 32 years old (recovering from Achilles Tendon surgery)
Isaac Sopoaga - 32 years old

I agree DT is a higher need but WR is in the mix depending on the old player / value continuum.

I would like to think the New England Patriots coaching staff has more faith in Thompkins, Dobson, Boyce, Amendola going forward than you do.

No offense, but scouting reports on offensive centers and offensive guards would be greatly appreciated, as well as a late round offensive tackle (6th round or 7th round sleeper).

Chris Burnette is an awesome guard.

Any thoughts on offensive left tackles Justin Britt and Austin Wentworth as late round sleepers?

The New England Patriots could utilize a young backup offensive left tackle next season to replace pending unrestricted free agent Will Svitek.

Apparently he's projected to the 7th round, why so low if he's that skilled?

Thanks.

Lacks length. Love him in the second level, SEC championship game film was incredible.

Wentworth is solid. Likely 6th rounder, I'd take him in the 4th or 5th. No opinion of Britt yet

Marqise Lee declares and Sammy Watkins going off in the orange bowl.
