The Official Patriots vs. Bills Post-Game Thread

that game thread is really ridiculous...

There needs to be some naming and shaming done...

Kirsch Words is not as bad as the game thread, mind you, Fred doesn't post them all

Hell of a game by Blount. I would love to see the Pats go into the playoffs predicating their offense on establishing the run and then letting Brady go to work in play action. I actually like the Pats more as a team that limits possessions, wins the field position battle, keeps the defense fresh, and relies on Brady to make those 2-3 plays that really swing the game.

Even the defensive lapses today could be largely pinned on Arrington and a drop off in safety play with McCourty out. Can't even really get on then for the plays Spiller made, since that was just an outstanding athlete doing what he's paid to do.

Hopefully Arrington's down to #4 on the depth chart and Green has permanently earned Cole's roster spot, because Arrington to Ryan and Cole to Green makes the secondary situation look better by a not-insignificant margin. That also assumes that Dennard will be at or near 100% after nearly a month off.

Kirsch is really good. I tend to watch that, and not the game day thread a lot.

And down go the Bills...Down go the Bills. Blount did to the Bills what he did to this dude, he knocked them OUT

I remember that now ...

Amendola. KT and Ridley were on the field but not asked to do anything. Mankins looks OK after his ankle injury, not sure if Dobson came back or not because Brady wasn't throwing to anyone other than Wes Edelman.
If this QB and this OC don't broaden out this passing game we're in for a short playoff run.
Brady looked pretty lousy and was outplayed by whatshisname, the Bills 8th string QB.
If not for Mr. Blount the Patriots were going to have significant difficulty winning this game today.

Dobson never came back on the field.

I kind of thought that was their gameplan due to the weather to just run the ball down their throats...considering it was working. I actually think this works to the pats benefit.

if you can win when brady throws for less than 200 and only 24 times thats a good sign....because brady is still going to be brady

Could we have some praise for the OL, please? Not only was Blount monstrously effective running the ball, but Ridley had 6.2 YPC too. Leaving out 3 kneeldowns, the team as a whole rushed 40 times for 270 yards.

Going to need that come the playoffs. Maybe having teams trying to stack the box and then burning them with a Dobson bomb. I can wish

Today was a bad game to judge the passing game on given all the rain.

Oh I don't know. The Bills were airing it out pretty well.

Not gonna worry too much about it from the pats perspective. Especially when our rb corp is a 3 headed monster.

Of course, I'm just saying.

Blount with the epic performance

Mankins is just a gritty player - so glad that injury wasn't serious

Good recovery of the onside kick by Ebner, who has really turned into a core STer

Glad to see Jamie Collins coming on. Pats should really make a play for Chandler this offseason IMO as Gronk insurance

I think It would be difficult for all people to convince me that ridley is the more dynamic back than blount.

IMO Blount looks like a different player than he did early in the season. Certainly a different kick returner.

Two thoughts I had repeatedly during this game:

- Bless artificial turf. As ugly as this game got, it's all too easy to picture the mudpit of injuries it could have been.

- Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts are pretty much like having no announcers at all, except that their calm, quiet voices make me a little sleepy.

Ballard made a nice TD grab in a late game today...looked like he was moving pretty good too. Hooman is a pretty bargain basement receiver, too bad we didn't find a way to keep Ballard.

Week 17: LeGarrette Blount highlights

Blount highlights from today's game. Must see video. Take special notice of Slaters kick ass block the sprung The Beast on the first Ko return.

That would be nice but I highly doubt they would have the money for that. I think it's more likely they draft a TE 1st round.

I still wish Blount would have gone through the kicker rather than around him on the first kickoff.

That has to be every kicker's worst nightmare.

The TE's coming out around the 1st are much much better than Chandler anyway and have massive ceiling so i would draft rather than get him.
