Also I love Matthew Slater. Unheralded for the most part but he seems to be a great leader for this team. Awesome that he got the nod for the Pro Bowl...again!
With his speed and toughness, I wish he could run routes and catch too. But, if this is the role he has to play, then so be it. he excels/is elite on special teams.

BB can count on Slater to be that 5/6th WR or 5th SS/FS in the rotation. Thats good enough for me.

For him to be a 4/5th WR or 3rd/4th SS/FS would be a sheer bonus.

Always cool to see these after a win. Slater made me smile with that "yuletide greetings to y'all" in the breakdown.

I was a bit intrigued by Jamie Collins' technique when he broke up the pass to Pitta around 2:30. I don't think he turned around for the ball; on the sideline camera view it looked like he really read Pitta well and jumped and got his hand up just right to make the play. Anyway, that's two big late-game break ups Collins has made, the other against Welker. Gotta like that.

that kid Collins really intrigues me .. I think he will be a household name next year ..

I'm fine for having him available as 5/6th WR.

Safety? I'd go for 15/16th.

Didn't find the commentators voice over annoying at all (perhaps the opposite, i love seeing the game and hearing the radio commentary) but never the less thank you for the link. :rocker:

I dont know.Personal preference I guess. Socci's voice doesnt fit a radio play by play and his player name pronunciations sound weird. Zolak is way over the top. He can be homer but doesnt have to show boat or start talking gibberish or provide exclamation remarks like a fan would do every time. Just my opinion.

Josh Kline looked surprised brady gave him a hug.

You'd think he'd be a decent safety. Guy can tackle. Just has stone for hands.

Totally agree. Didn't he bumble a kick off within the past few weeks? Pats kept it but still.

Great ST player. Smart too. I thought it was funny the way he always gave Blount the "just take a knee big fella" gesture on KRs. Sometimes I'd have sworn he was ready to tackle Blount in the end zone himself if he had to.

I can see that...but then I think of Gil & Gino who were embarrassing at pronouncing players names or just getting them entirely wrong. Love 'em but it was a bit cringe worthy at times. As for Zo I think he is great to listen to. Sure he is a homer and sure he is over the top but I tend to look at it as him just being really passionate about the team and the game. I can appreciate him going bananas when the Pats make a game winning play or pull off a comeback because that matches how I am feeling and behaving too

Yeah he probably would haha. I'd actually rather have Slater on defense than on offense. I'd rather start pulling guys like Talib for wide out if we ever got to the point. Past few weeks we've been dangerously close.

Going bananas is one thing but that whole "where's the beef" during the saints game was so scripted he couldnt wait to yell it. It was not an in the moment thing he makes it out to be. He takes away from the play by play guy describing what he is saying. Even in this highlight he yells "BOOM" even when socci is speaking.
Gil And Gino probably over the yrs had their troubles so maybe not the comparison I can make I guess. But I have listened to the raiders broadcast here and some other calls, on other teams which are much better.Wish we had a standard call team which had some history with team.
