Apparently the 49ers will be trotting out all their former stars in what will be the final game at Candlestick.

Remember when people were praising the brilliant move that BB advised against to trade all their draft picks for two years to get Julio Jones? Now Atlanta is one of the worst teams in the NFL, the Falcons missed chances to get talent the last two years and Julio only has one more year left on a contract.

Remember when people were praising the brilliant move that BB advised against to trade all their draft picks for two years to get Julio Jones? Now Atlanta is one of the worst teams in the NFL, the Falcons missed chances to get talent the last two years and Julio only has one more year left on a contract.

Atlanta's been a top team for years, and just suffered through a bizarre and unexpected collapse. Jones, the player Dimitroff coveted, has been a tremendous receiver. Baldwin, the player BB commented on as an alternative, has been a bust. Also, there's a team option for a 5th year on that contract.


BB got it wrong.

I'd laugh if Atlanta wins this and it ends up wrecking the 49ers' playoff hopes. (Not going to happen, though ... )

Just came home, was shocked to see Falcons were up 10-3 at halftime.

Going to shower up and such now, pretty much expecting the 49ers to be up by 17 by the time I get back, classic tease game.
