Love what this team has been able to do with all the injuries to their playmakers. But at some point it catches up to you. We are at that point ladies and gents.

Our D was poor. Miami's first TD at the end of the half was really inexcusable.
.
Comments like this astonish me.
In a league where the average team is scoring 24 ppg how can any TD be inexcusable.
Your expectation that the defense must stop everyone every time is ridculous.
Note that the defense had shut them out in the first half, so you are saying points allowed in the first half is horrendous and inexcusable.

Ummm.....no Mayo, no Wilfork, no Kelley.

The defense is NOT put together with duct tape?????????????????

We got killed by the pass, and we got killed by poor tackling. Our secondary is basically the same as it was at the start of the season so they have no excuse to be allowing so many catches. The offense actually has the possibility to get better but the defense is as good as its going to get. They HAVE to do better than that.

The important thing is did they get the job done when it counted. And the answer was a resounding NO for the defense. Giving up the tying score at the end of the half; giving up a critical four down play - those are signs of a loser squad. The offense actually still got within a hair's breadth of winning it in spite of everything.

Biggest takeaway is how the red zone is impacted by the absence of Gronk. Asking a lot of small slot guys in windows that shrink quickly

very noticeable on last series

Amendola needs to make that catch plain and simple. It wasn't a choke, but average NFL WRs make that catch more than 50/50. Santonio Holmes or Boldin make that play 99/100 and they aren't elite WRs by any stretch.

That is just simply wrong.

You're going to have to let this one go DaBruinz, they are never going to call holding when the receiver has his hands inside the shoulders.

Exactly. That play was not on Ryan. The WR got good position on him. While he may have grabbed the jersey, he was using correct form so the refs will never call it. If Gregory takes a better angle on the play to make the tackle and actually wraps him up instead of flying in with a shoulder, Clay is stopped short.

LOL. Mr. Internet tough guy strikes again. No wonder everyone hates you here.

I think you have me confused with yourself. You are the one that everyone hates. Your ignorance on pretty much everything does nothing to improve this board.

OH. BTW, For me to be an internet tough guy, I would have had to make threats of bodily harm against you. Never done anything of the sort. Not with you or to anyone else. Just another thing you are ignorant about.

Bengals lose tonight and the pats are still the 2 seed. No harm no foul.

Ugh... I actually have to cheer for the Steelers of all teams.... :puke:

Dennard and Talib are both obviously fighting through injuries, Dennard especially.

You clearly didn't watch the game if you're claiming that was an EASY TD. Clearly have never played the game either.

It was not an easy catch, it was a play that could have been made and if it was it would have been a great play like the Hooman TD catch was a great play, but him not making the play doesn’t make him a choker it was a 50/50 ball in any situation. Danny had a reception on 10/14 targets for 131 receiving yards today, his play put us in the situation that allowed us a chance to win in my opinion Danny Amendola played his best game in a Patriots uniform today and came up big for us. I wish he made that catch but his not making it should not take from a very impressive game by him. That is coming from me one of the most anti-Amendola people on this board :D

Now that Gronk is lost, we have no red zone threat. That will be our undoing in the playoffs.

It's the same thing as the Sterling Moore play, it has two sides to it. Evans and Amendola didn't secure it.

Amendola had no chance to secure it, because he caught the ball over his head with the defenders hand in between his own.

pats no longer control their own destiny..that's the harm and foul

Jones played great. Amendola dropped the game winning TD.

This is clearly hyperbole. A drop is like when Welker or Boyce have balls hit them in the hands and drop it without being touched. Amendola jumped up to get that ball on his fingertips and it was immediately knocked out by the defender. I'm surprised he even got his hands on it, but he couldn't have done anything more. What do you want? Do you really think he could have pulled that down with the defender's hands between his? I just can't understand this statement.

Yes and no.

Most of them are playing at, maybe, 80–90% health. Combine that with all the injuries up front, and it makes life a lot harder.

Brady being pissed is fine. An understandable response. The difference is he's not saying completely ******ed stuff like Amendola is a bust because he didn't catch a ball the defender knocked away or that Chandler Jones is essentially Mark Anderson.

A win would have won them the division. This loss probably bothered him more than others. It bothered me too. A lot was on the line today. Made me wonder if they even have a chance to do much in the playoffs.

My biggest gripe of the game with the offense play calling was 1st and goal on that 16 play drive.

1st and 10 at MIA 10 (Shotgun) T.Brady pass short left to J.Edelman pushed ob at MIA 4 for 6 yards (N.Carroll).
2nd and 4 at MIA 4 (Shotgun) T.Brady pass incomplete short right to D.Amendola.
3rd and 4 at MIA 4 (Shotgun) T.Brady pass incomplete short middle to J.Boyce (J.Wilson).

Not running it on 2nd and goal from the 4 is just head scratching.

Very noticeable on every series we were down there. That's the Achilles heel for this team and it's a huge issue going forward.

Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head right here, Dennard was about a half a second behind his usual play today and in the NFL that half a second is the difference between making a play or getting beat. He is less than 3 weeks removed from knee surgery. All that really matters is we can stay in the second seed, grab a bye in the playoffs and get what is left of this team to as close to healthy as possible so we can make a legit run at a SB.

I simply disagree with you.
