Official Patriots vs. Dolphins Post Game

The blame for the loss lies at the feet of the D and Gost. And the refs didn't do their job on the last drive. Must have had money on Miami

This is a joke right? RIGHT!?!? Thompkins and Dobson HAVE to play next week.

they will need them in order to have a chance to beat balt. I think they will both play...they have been practicing

What happened to vereen today? MIA took him out completely

No one is talking about the ghost botched kick that cost them the game more then amendola?

Personally, I blame every loss this season on Aaron Hernandez.

- The refs are an absolute TRAVESTY to this league. It's disgusting. They CANNOT and HAVE NOT called a single close NFL game properly or consistently this year. Makes me puke. In a league where ONLY 16 games are played in the regular season, every call should be made correct & consistent. This isn't the MLB with 162 games, or the NBA or NHL with 82. ONLY 16! The room for error and sheer incompetence should be ZERO.

- Hightower is embarrassingly bad. Even my friend who has never played football in his life, was screaming at him to TURN AROUND on the Miami go-ahead TD pass. The chunky piece of lard thought it would be wise to show the QB his ass instead.

- O-line is awful. So many crucial 3rd downs they've screwed up this year.

- Ghost had a terrible game which was flat out UNACCEPTABLE. That missed field goal and the screwed up kickoff should not have happened, no matter who the kicker is.

- Matt Patricia should be fired. What the hell is Arrington, our SLOT CB doing covering an obvious X receiver? Moreover MIKE WALLACE, one of the quickest in the league. Even worse, why put our backup CB/special-teamer only on him to replace a hurt Arrington?!?!? Meanwhile Talib is covering a complete nobody that isn't even worthy of his attention.

- BB should have called a timeout on that 4th and 5. Would've gave the Dolphins time to reconsider going for it & perhaps choose to punt, but also helps in getting the proper play in there to stop an expected short pass.

Oh Come on.

The D sucked.

Amendola choked.

We lost.

That's the facts....when you have a defense as pathetically bad as the Pats do...you HAVE TOne able to go TOE TO TOE with your opponent. ..or score for score....when you have a very physically LIMITED and AVERAGE offensive team.....it becomes pretty simple to understand that you are either going to LOSE......OR get LUCKY every week! This week....the LUCK ran out......We have had a ton of injuries obviously....but the backups on D are not worth sh:t.....the secondary ONCE AGAIN THIS YEAR can not cover or shut down anyone....the DL gets LIMITED pressure on the QB ....And NO ONE can f:king TACKLE. Really hard to believe that Bill Belichick coached team is this UNDISCIPLINED and sloppy in the fundamentals of the game. But remember.....this is nothing new....it HAS been going on since Romeo Crennel rode out of town....We have had BAD, undisciplined and weak Defenses since 2004.

Now....this year Brady has had dog crap at WR other than Edelman.....Gronk is gone again....and NO ONE canCATCH THE F:CKING BALL!......Combine that with yet ANOTHER POS OL.....and HERE we go again.....Likefreaking GROUNDHOG day.

Hoping Pats can hang in there and Win the division (Yes there is still a chs nice that will slip away!) But this team is DONE this year.....If they somehow get in the playoffs...they will be ousted immediately.....ALOT of questions coming up for Robert Kraft (and BB )after season is over I would imagine

First Amamdola did not choke, the DB made a play by getting his hand in there before the ball was secured. Without his efforts this game would no have been close. I wish some of you guys would actually watch the game before you shoot from the hip.

Excellent point, I am far from someone sitting in my recliner with my #80 shirt on but Amendola got us into that position and in my opinion he had his best game in a Patriots uniform today and not just because of the passes he caught but because he made several key blocks as well. Danny as I said could have made that play but him not making it doesn’t constitute choking – choking when a player makes a play they generally make 99.9% of the time and fail to do so when it matters. That play being made by Amendola is like 50/50 no matter the situation.

Secondly, how many teams can even compete with the injuries this team has had? Kline had to see his first action and allowed pressure and a sack. Not really blaming him, it's just the reality of the situation.

I think this is the best point made in this thread, ideally we would like to have gone further down the field or allowed the underneath players time to create an opening however the fact that Mankins and Kline were getting beat just about every snap was not allowing that to transpire and Brady was throwing balls that resulted in difficult catches and causing players to get tied up with the defender because of the lack of separation.

Third, Dobson or Hopkins are out and they still were able to move the ball. And, not to mention Gronk being out for the year.

Another excellent point there was no Gronkowski, Dobson, Thompkins and even Boyce appeared to be out of the game with some type of alignment. Edelman and Amendola are both very good players but they’re not ideal red zone players who can post up or go up and get a football.
These are not excuses, just reality. I love the way this team keep fighting in spite of all the injuries.

Hopefully this team will have Dobson or Thompkins back next week. I don't have a good feeling on Solder leaving and fear he may be kept out if its determined that he suffered another concussion.

How come whenever the pats get a favorable call its "contrpversial" and the media harps on it.

But when the other team does its "yeah you dont call that here"

pity...sad loss...huge loss...

compliments to Edelman Amendola and Collie: great game

let's see...10-4 and we have not yet won the Afc East

- Matt Patricia should be fired. What the hell is Arrington, our SLOT CB doing covering one of the top X receivers in the league!? Even worse, why put our backup CB/special-teamer only on him to replace a hurt Arrington? Meanwhile Talib is covering a complete nobody that isn't worthy of his attention.

You think Patricia is making a call like that?

Funny thing is Arrington and Cole kept Wallace in check during the game in Foxboro this season.

Actual reasons we lost:

1.) Ghost poor play - missed field goal, poor kickoffs

2.) Tannehill made some great throws when it mattered

3.) His receivers made some great catches when it mattered

4.) Ballsy call by Philbin on 4th down

5.) Clay makes a play and converts the 4th down

6.) Our offensive line became a MASH unit

7.) Missed tackles by defense in particular Cole and some poor angles on tackles most notably Gregory

8.) Lack of Red Zone weapons

9.) Reduction in deep play weapons

We didn't lose because of the refs. We didn't lose because Amendola chocked (geez). We didn't lose because TB choked (double geez).

Hopefully this team will have Dobson or Thompkins back next week. I don't have a good feeling on Solder leaving and fear he may be kept out if its determined that he suffered another concussion.

If Solder had another concussion they HAVE to sit him. A third concussion in less than a month could screw up his career as bad as it did Austin Collie's.

Tannehill with a 120.6 rating.

Tom E. Curran ?@tomecurran 30s
Brady. "Made some good plays, made a lot of ****ty plays." Drops mic after 72 seconds and departs. #patriotstalk

this is going to be an interesting media outrage...

- Hightower is embarrassingly bad. Even my friend who has never played football in his life, was screaming at him to TURN AROUND on the Miami go-ahead TD pass. The chunky piece of lard thought it would be wise to show the QB his ass.

Hahaha. Actually, it isn't a bad strategy on his part. Just turn his fat ass around, waddle, and hope the ball hits it.

Mike Reiss ?@MikeReiss 5s
Patriots QB Tom Brady in extremely short news conference: "We made some good plays. We made a lot of (expletive) plays."

He needs to go for a walk too.

You seldom see Tom that pissed in a press conference. He said "shytty" on live TV.
