They sometimes do that, Edelman led one of those after the Atlanta game. Just whatever seems appropriate at the time I guess.

to me it looked intentional, like they've got a friendly thing going where they try to give each other sh_t. intentional, and malicious, but in a friendly way, like when you play pranks on your friends. tfb got punk'd.

Well, Brady's words were "Nice job, kid."

Maybe our favorite part was the conversation between Brady and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels before the game-winning drive.

"They're going to be deep. We're going to have to hit an in-cut, clock it or get going again, maybe hit a second one, and then try to hit something in the end zone," McDaniels says to Brady.

That's almost exactly the way it unfolded -- a good snapshot of how conversations on the sideline, and good coaching, often come to life with top-notch player execution on the field.

Good to see him talking about toughness on the last drive. Edleman took a shot and Brady took a shot to deliver that ball. He talks the talk and takes the hits too.

Not sure if you were able to watch the "NFL Turning point" show yet or not? It aired at 11pm a couple of hours ago, and you could actually hear Brady say "Jules..." as soon as he let go of the ball. It seemed to me like he was waiting and hoping that he'd have broken earlier. It definitely seemed as though it was more on Edelman than it was on Brady--although those are tough calls sometimes.

Just wanted to pass along that he kind of yelled his name basically as soon as he released the ball like to say--"c'mon," in a sort of hoping kind of manner.

I hear what you're saying and I think you're right to some extent with certain situations, but I don't think that's what was going on here. It simply seemed as though Edelman's eyes were looking ahead to the majority of us. You may be right, however. I'm not sure that we'll ever know, although I haven't had the opportunity to watch this link here just yet either.

is it there somewhere online ?

is it there somewhere online ?

Let me find out exactly what channel it is on, SVN. I'll get back to you in a sec.

EDIT: It's on the NBC sports channel. It comes up on my listings under the abbreviation of NBCSP. They normally play it on Wed nights at 11pm. It used to be on F/X last season, but apparently it was moved to NBC sports instead.

It looks like they are replaying it late tonight/early tomorrow at 12am midnight tonight. If you check your cable channels, I am guessing that you almost certainly have it. It isn't one of those special channels that cost more, etc.

Unfortunately, I was not able to find any links online for you though.

yeah , i dont have nbcsports unfortunately. Thanks anyway.

I think Brady was saying, "Oh oh Jules get over there."

Brady was expecting Dobson to make a much more shallow cut and to take the CB covering him over the middle.

Brady threw it right to the defender. There was no way it should have gone there. He was hoping Edelman could break it up is all.

I'm assuming that upstater1's thoughts are correct here.

Obviously it was a major miscommunication on either Brady or the receiver(s), but my guess is that he was expecting the CB to be taken out a bit, thus leaving more of a one/one matchup.

that is what he said the next day on radio I think

Anyone else notice Brady say "it's over now" after the INT. Even he doubted

I thought that was the announcer? No?

I would be very shocked to find out that was the case.

With timeouts + the 2 min warning, there were a lot who felt that it would at least come down to another Saints 3rd down conversion.

It sounds like he said it at 2.39...

I thought that was the announcer? No?

yes, it was. Brady would never say that.

On another note, I'm watching "Patriots Football Weekly" and Dennard said that the DBs are "like brothers" and they hang out and play video games on their off day. That is good to hear, cohesiveness is very important for a secondary, and if they are spending 7 days a week together I would imagine they are pretty cohesive..

After just watching this footage here, it appears that you aren't missing anything on the "Turning point" show anyway, SVN.

I would imagine that there's only so much mic'ed up footage that they have, so NFL films uses the same stuff in different shows. It's basically all the same from the other show.

Good stuff.
