Nice to see him progressing, but he is not eligible to return before the bye (week 11: Carolina). He is sorely missed, especially on blitz pick up and as a (badly needed) receiving outlet. Unfortunately, Bolden has also contracted the dropsies.
I really like Shane Vereen he is a dynamic player but I was really sad to see Danny Woodhead go he was such a nice story both he and Edelman. Woodhead is really having a fine season in San Diego he is tied for First in receptions and he second on their team in rushing. How Leon Washington is still on this Team is mind numbing.:bricks:
Are they allowed to practice while on this IR-To Return designation, or is like the PUP where they can't even practice until the week of their return to the field?
Of the players on offense, I believe Vereen's absence has hurt this team more than any other player not named Gronk and removed a vital dimension of this offense.
I really thought Bolden would be that player that could pick up the slack and catch balls out of the backfield but he's had some really costly drops that have killed drives.

Yeah Bolden ain't ready for prime time in that role...and as you said it has removed a vital dimension from our offense. Imagine that our RB's out of the backfiled on 3rd downs is now an after thought for Defenses.

Yes, they can practice 6 weeks after being designated to return and return to the field 8 weeks after. Vereen's eligible to return to practice next week.

That's good news, of course only if he's able to practice right away. Gives him a better chance to hit the ground running his first game back. Having the bye right before that helps too, as it builds in an additional week of practice/rest for him.

What stuck out in my mind was the fact that Buffalo had no answer for Vereen in week 1. He also ran with power, authority and was making decisive cuts.
I am very much looking forward to having Vereen and Ridley back in a 1-2 gut punch.
