Why would the Falcons try to draw the Jets offsides on 4th and goal on the one? Sometimes I wonder if people calling the games actually understand the game.

I take that back. Mike Smith might be just that stupid to try to draw the Jets offsides on 4th and goal at the one. It wouldn't have been any worse than his play call to end the half.

You don't but it the fact that BB took the FG yesterday and put his team within one score showed the difference between a great coach and only a good coach.

I get that the decision was really stupid, but it seems over-the-top to try extending that to some sort of 'proof' that this somehow separates Smith from BB or other top coaches. BB's made stupid 4th down decisions before, too. No coach has a monopoly on them, and no coach is immune from them, either.
