Once again you’re incorrect as 41% of his snaps have been played from the slot wide receiver position. If anyone is just making things up or guess that would be you’re in this situation.
Link? Because watching the game belies that.
He has 4.33 speed, runs tight routes and works well in space I am pretty sure he can get open.
He is not a WR. "Runs tight routes and works well in space" based upon what?
My lack of knowledge – hmm, this statement is the biggest fail I have read in this forum ever.
Im not writing your posts for you, so you should look in the mirror on this one.
Woodhead receptions by downs:
Down 1 – 8 receptions, 1 touchdown
Down 2 – 7 receptions, 1 touchdown
Down 3 – 7 receptions, 0 touchdowns
Somebody needs to tell Danny that he is only supposed to be successful on 3rd down being covered by a linebacker.
You are kidding right?
You cannot possibly be this obtuse.
A backup – Vereen has not played since week 1 and is not eligible to return until week 9, so yeah I think he would have been just fine considering Vereen has missed time because of injury in all 3 of his NFL season and significant time in 2 of the seasons. The belief that would be different is almost as irrational as those expecting Amendola to be a 16 game starter just because he signed here.
Well you will have to take that up with the guy who made those decisions, Belichick.
I think you are smart enough to get this and just being difficult, but one more time.
Vereen evolved last year and was taking the 3rd down back role away. (oops, I have to explain this one too. 3rd down backs play in passing situations and often in hurry up. Woodhead played the most snaps of any RB in the team in 2010 as the 3rd down back, because we run the spread hurry up a lot).
So if the Patriots wanted to resign Woodhead, they either had to hold Vereen back from the role he took, or make Woodhead the backup. They chose Vereen. Woodhead was not going to come back to back up Vereen and hope for a chance when he gets hurt, when the Chargers brought him in to do exactly what he did in NE.
By the way as a Patriotlast Woodhead caught 33 passes o 1st down 29 on 2nd and 30 on 3rd in the role commonly referred to as 3rd down back, so you should correct yourself on that one.
