Who is leading the NFL in receptions?

Could it be the slot receiver who was groomed to replace Welker?

I wonder why the so called "douchebag, look at me I'm outrageous Media" only focuses on Amendola.

Don't look at that, look at this so we can ***** and moan and get more attention, the story is really about us.

Hey,look at me, I'm asking BB a question that I know he won't answer.
I don't have to worry, all the other "douchebag, look at me I'm outrageous media" will stick up for me and say I'm only doing my job.

What Brady said he didn't contact Lloyd and Branch about coming back.
That can't be, I will continue to treat it as fact that he did.

What, Josh Gordon is not available per the GM, that can't be, let's trade for him, he is available.
What, he might not be able to learn the system. so what, let's get him anyway, since he had a great game and has never had any issues.

God forbid we should focus on good things.

Yes, it does seem a like a long time between games this year.

take it easy brah, there are things that we can't control in this god's green earth and there is no point fussing about it. I know its hard but practice makes a man perfect ! Hang in there, think about warm fuzzy thoughts like how the goober will fall apart in playoffs come January

I prefer not to look the other way.

I would much prefer to expose the frauds for what they are.

I've been in western NY and the Pittsburgh area listening to Sports radio for the last 2 months, Eastern New England is getting CRAP on the radio.

The western NY and western PA shows discuss real issues with the teams, not made up for radio drama.

I'll take Mike and Mike, and Dan Patrick, all day long.

Call and write WEEI and demand Mike and Mike in the Morning.

Midday is kind of lame. Cowherd and Rome both blow and SVP and Russillo are too college for my taste.

Gresh and Zoe aren't that bad when it comes to the Pats.

Dan Patrick is on NBC, not sure what station that is around here.

Dude, that's because the Bills and Steelers HAVE "real issues" this year!

Hey, we're Pats fans and know that Hataz Gonna Hate. Makes each win more enjoyable.

I don't know if Edelman was "groomed" to replace Welker, especially since they didn't bother re-signing him until he tested the market and found that exactly nobody else (the Giants had him in for a visit) was interested. He's also got a pretty terrible YPC right now. It's great that he can catch, and the team wouldn't be 3-0 if he couldn't catch as well as he can, but let's not pretend that he's not a downgrade from Welker/Amendola.

Amendola, on the other hand, I believe is just as good as, if not better than Welker.

I know this isn't the point of your thread but I had to say this somewhere.

He makes less than 1/6 as much as Welker or Amendola.

The guy is an unbelievable value.

And he is an exciting and talented special teams player... versatility.

27 receptions is a lot less impressive when you get 201 yards out of them (especially when the longest grabs that come to mind happened in week 1, when Amendola was in the lineup).

Don't get me wrong, he has valuable and is a significant contributor, but let's not hold up his catches as some indication that he's a Welker/Amendola-caliber player. A lot of those targets were simply because he was the only guy who could be trusted to catch the ball against the Jets, so he was thrown to even in situations where he normally wouldn't have been.

The game where Edelman had his most receptions was in a driving rainstorm. The best chance for pass receptions were if they were short.

Welker is 19 for 190.

What's your point?

I'm not saying he is Welker, but at 1/6 the price, I like his value in a salary cap era. This is the kind of thing that allows the Pats to extend a Ninko or (hopefully) a Talib or McCourty.

Is there any conclusive evidence that Wes Welker and Julian Edelman aren't the same person? Whenever Wes played well we never saw Edelman, whenever Wes was out (or phased out) Edelman killed it. Hmm....

Uh-oh, here we go. Another Edelman debate.

I haven't been able to listen to talk radio except for Gresh and Zo. Everyone else talks about Welker and Bill's poor drafting etc. Each year Bill puts together a competitive team. People have the audacity to ***** because he hasn't won a Super Bowl lately. They could and should be Pittsburgh but there not because of Bill. I change the station every time they start talking about this stuff. Just shut up and pass the kool aid.

Sounds like we agree, then.

How clueless can a poster be?

Did you see the OP???????

....perhaps you thought this was the America's Cup thread.

Put Edelman in an offense with 2/3s the weapons denver had and get back to me about 27/210 being terrible. The guy can obviously make someone miss (pr stats), he can't do it when the majority of the secondary know he is the only true threat (jets, and to a lesser extent, bucs). When gronk/amendola get back, he will get much better production ypc. Hell, if gronk and amendola stay out but the rooks continue improving at their current rate per week, id wager the same.
