Why did this team sign Tebow?

No, what you said was neither true or could even be supported by deductive reasoning. You ACCUSED many of the Tebow supporters here of hoping that Brady had an injury. Actually, that accusation was more widespread because you said "a handful of Tebow supporters" who had that hope, and the fact is, there are only a "handful" of us here to begin with.

So quit playing the martyr card.

Outside of Max and Iron; every other Tebow fan raises questions in my mind, there is something wrong with the concept of a person being so consumed with a person they’ve never met that they spend hours, upon hours in a football forum defending them against every single negative statement, it is not a normal healthy behavior, I’m sorry if that hurts your feelings but it is the truth Demo.

As far as wishing for a Brady injury I may of overstated that a bit; but let’s not act like you would really care if Brady went down with an injury and let’s not act like you would not prefer to see Tebow starting. Most of all let’s not act like you would be here if your beloved Tebow wasn’t taking up space on the Patriots bench right now, because we both know you wouldn’t be, so basically you’re just using the fans of New England and once us fans no longer have what you desire you will abandon us and move on to use a new fan group, likely in the CFL but still another fan base.

I’ve played this game of trying to try and accept you for too long the fact is I do not respect opportunistic people, who come and go based on what serves them, and I really don’t respect people who deny logic, but most all I don’t respect people who make excuses for failure, and pass the buck every opportunity they get. That is all I see you do in here, so it is hard for me to respect anything you do in here, be completely honest, I really do try but you just push and push almost as if this is a game to you and I just don’t like it so from now on please do not respond to my posts and I will not respond to yours we can agree to disagree and move on.

I think you mistook my intent. Sorry for the mixup. I wasn't attacking your character or integrity. I was simply saying that you're making a dishonest claim. Most people do it from time to time, sometimes intentionally, sometimes by accident.

I was just pointing out that this is not simply about "having a 3rd qb on the roster". You have made posts in the past which very clearly display your disdain for Tebow, and people like him. I'm not going to dig them up and post them here (they're pushing the CoC envelope pretty tight, even for this thread).
But you know without a doubt that this is about more than just football talk.

You may very well not like having a 3rd qb. That's perfectly fine. But pretending that this is your main beef, here, is, wait for it... dishonest.



But you do have issues with him, and it's very personal. You've posted very plainly about experiences in your childhood, and why you despise folks like him. You know the posts, and I'm not going to dig them up. You don't have to pretend it's not personal. Your philosophical differences with him are valid, and I won't pretend to judge whether you're right or wrong on it. But stop pretending that it isn't personal.

And I can't speak for everybody, but I don't post in the Brady knee thread because that is more "pats fans" territory, and simply posting there is much more likely to raise the ire of some of the more "territorial" members of the board.

You don't have to take any of these disagreements as personal attacks. I just happen to disagree with almost everything you say.

I live in the present; not in 2011, so I have no interest in what took place then, the NFL is a what have you done for me lately league, Tebow has not done anything so it sort of a pointless discussion, tonight he will come in and mop up in the 4th quarter and he will be cut on 8/31/13 and you will leave this forum just as quickly as you signed up because you could care less about the Patriots, and yes that does bother me, I like people who want the best for the Patriots not people who are just using the fan base while their Tebow is in town, so if you cannot respect that , just don’t quote or comment on my posts and I will do the same and not post or comment on yours.

For the record though; I'm a captain for Delta Connection and I've stood face to face with just about every Patriots player including your beloved Tebow.

Tebow has been completely ineffective against 3rd and 4th stringers again.

Hes just really been awful. 30 rushing yards isnt going to cut it, but it could get him cut before next week.

Final stats for tebow 1/7 passing for -1 yard, 1 interception, 6 rushes for 30 yards.

Tebow fans, explain how hes worth a roster spot.

He simply doesn't belong. Looks lost even though they're running plays designed for him and I've never seen a NFL QB throw a worse ball. No pocket awareness. This isn't exactly surprising.

Tebow is either a cut or a redshirt.

If they're hoping to see something in preseason, and have been calling plays where they expect good results on, he's cut.

If they've already decided to keep him, and aren't really installing or calling plays that have anything to do with what they want to ultimately do with him, then he's got a chance. Under that scenario, they always thought they want to tinker with his mechanics for a year, and come up with some innovative plays for him.

But I don't see how there's a scenario where he makes the team based on preseason -- the third game is tune up time for the starters and the fourth game is last chance for the borderlines (more Mallet I would think).

My first thought was no wonder his fans were calling him a lock after last Fridays game, he look amazing compared to tonight's.

My second this is never-mind a spot on this roster, Tebow played himself out of a roster spot in the CFL tonight.
