Brady injured knee

A knee sprain? Isn't that the same as a ligament tear? Or am I mixed up?

Here's a YouTube video that isn't overloaded: Tom Brady's Knee Injury During Practice Drill Against Buccaneers - YouTube

I put together a Zoomed (400%) GIF to get a closer look at the point of contact. From the video, it looks like Brady's left leg was still fairly straight when he was hit from the left side. What we can't tell from the video's perspective, is how directly Nate Solder backed into Brady's left leg.

Great work - that gif makes it much easier to see.

That GIF looks like he gets cleats down his shin.

Knee sprain, eh not too bad but not great either but I think we can all live with that.

Are the funeral services open to the public?

From that video, looks like he stepped on foot/ankle, causing the twist in the knee.

Who the hell stops recording at that moment???

What the hell kind of crap was Clayborn trying to pull? It seems obvious from the video that Solder was not expecting a full-on bullrush, primarily because THE TEAMS HAD AGREED THEY WOULD NOT GO NEAR THE QUARTERBACKS.

Do you think Solder suddenly turned into a wimp? That he suddenly forgot how to deal with a bull rush?

NO! He wasn't expecting it, because that's not what the players were supposed to do.

If I'm Belichick I am freaking LIVID right now. :violent:

I honestly cannot tell if this is some sort of high level trolling or what.

Google does not help...

They say that a bad sprain is actually worse than a break, a break takes 4-6 weeks to heal. Don't count on it being fully healed for several more weeks.

PANIC!!!! :D

We're talking about a funeral already?!

I only came on here to find out how the amputation went!

As awful as this is, it actually made me laugh.

WRITHING in pain.

It sounds like his leg completely fell off.

I think this thread will serve as a reminder how little everything else this off-season actually matters!!!

Is this (and all the other posts like it) a joke?

Lighten up people, Brady will be fine.

But they may hold him out of Fridays game which will make for a fun weekend around here.....

I don't think you'll have much success in getting through to people regarding the only irreplacable player on the team who suffered an injury to his already repaired knee.

When we hear definitive news we'll all feel better. In the meantime of course people are going to worry, it's only natural. I don't agree with anyone claiming that the season's over, but I can appreciate the concern for sure. It'd be a very serious issue with only 1 day left of TC practices.

In the meantime any talk of "at least we'll get a good draft pick" is not only downright embarrasssing in my opinion, it'd probably be far from true. We'd likely have a pick in the high teens at worst and hover around 8-8.

Talk about sports world stopping: Tom Brady's left knee injury has led to suspension of all Super Bowl, AFC, AFC East odds at @BovadaLV.

Football players play football. I see nothing wrong with Clayborn's play.

It's a stretching of the ligaments, which may cause some fibers of the ligament to tear.

No. A strain is a tear. A sprain is not.

No, I was thinking of when they said RG3 may have sprained his MCL and then all these internet doctors explained how that really meant tear and blah, blah, blah.

And no, i'm not trolling, TriplecHamp. If you think so because I am asking for clarification, then you need to untwist your panties.

Wonder what that means as far as missing time, practice, etc.

Just saw this.

A sprain is a partial tear, so that's not exactly great news. But still, better news than a full on ACL tear. I would suspect if it's a sprain, he's at least getting held out of this weekend's preseason game. Might be time to put the damn brace back on too.

This wasn't a game. It was a scrimmage in which the QBs were not supposed to face contact. As evidence by the fact that Brady was not wearing the brace he wears in game-time action.
