Geno Smith spent 4 years at West Virginia and Geno has been with his Jets teammates around Ryan for about four weeks in total. Of course Ryan would know better if Geno Smith is a leader or not.

Can someone remind me when Edwards ever played at an elite level? Yeah, I guess he was elite for one freakin year in Cleveland where he got over 1,200 yards and 15 TDs in 2007. But the guy hasn't cracked a 1,000 yards any other year in his 9 year career. I think that that is enough evidence to say his 2007 season was a fluke.

Curiously, it seems like he's fighting for a roster spot. He played 27 offensive snaps in the first game, an unusually high number for a nine-year vet. When a veteran still is playing into the fourth quarter of the first preseason game, it can be an ominous sign
