The way I see it, posters here who don't root for the Patriots, are, technically speaking, trolls.

That said, in my book, there are good trolls and bad trolls.

Good trolls make meaningful or at least enjoyable contributions to the board. We definitely have some good trolls—off the top of my head, pherein (Saints), jcdavey (Chargers), and Gunnails (JEST, amazingly) have been doing so for years now.

Bad trolls are just trying to stir s*** up, or claim to be Patriots fans when they aren't. We've had more than a few in both categories.

tl;dr for Tebow fans: If all you want to do is talk Tebow, that's fine in my book. Just don't be obnoxious about it like "American_Champion."

What about posters who have come to the Pats due to the signing of Tebow, who will root for the Pats regardless of the role that Tebow plays, even if he rides the bench all year ?

It boggles some people's minds, but some of us are "team focused" and do consider whatever team Tebow is on to be "our team" and we want them to do well.

As long as it's identified , I won't participate in it for any reason....but I will not be preached to by some Kentucky crankhead who posts nonstop for days at a time, uses a killer clown avatar to identify himself (John Wayne Gacey motif) and carries the name of a famous Greek pederast wherever he goes.

Once again, you have things mixed up Joker. That's the Tebow fan football forum. There's another site out there that has all the women who are ga ga for Tebow.

But, since you decided to discuss that site, I'll explain it's impetus. It came about last year after Tebow was traded to the Jets. A number of us were over at the cesspool that is GangGreenForum where many of us kept getting banned for daring to say positive things about Tebow.

One of the members got tired of losing touch with others due to the banishments, so, he created that Tebow forum where we could talk/discuss things without worrying about jackoff mods (like LongTimeJetsFan) getting happy with their ban hammers.

Now, imagine that. A number of us talking on a message board for a couple of months, then wham, for some made up BS reasons, a ban gets handed down, then another, then another. Soon, 4 or 5 of the people that you were conversing with are gone. That forum became a home that allowed us to keep in touch, no matter what happened at GGF.

Joker , Demos is a real knowledgeable football fan. I was with him on another teams boards. While i was never a member at JI , I would challenge you to produce even one post where he race baited or baited with religion...I would be shocked.

I agree with this... Demo has a clear interest/agenda but at least he's up front about it. Pretty sure he's even an avowed atheist. I've known Demo on the JI boards and he talks much more football than the pond scum who simply dismiss everything he says because he likes Tebow. Dude knows football across many teams... the constant propping up of Tebow gets a bit old, but it had more legitimacy when he was on the Jets. No sane Tebow fan is looking for Tebow to start for the Pats anytime soon barring injury, so let them toss around all the stats they want. Bottom line is they should be thankful the Pats even gave him a chance, otherwise Tebow is a man without a team right now. The Pats owe him absolutely nothing, and if it doesn't work out, get pissed at the other 31 teams rather than the one who gave him probably the most legitimate chance he's had in this league.

I happen to think that Josh and Bill aren't trapped by orthodoxy or conventional wisdom. That if they thought his style of play would work, or some hybrid of it, that they'd run with it.

If they didn't, as I said, I'd have to reassess my position on the subject.

It really begs the question what McDaniels saw in Tebow to draft him so high in the first place. He made a lot of horrible decisions that torpedoed that franchise until Elway stepped in and stabilized the franchise. The Broncos' QB swing from Cutler to Orton to Tebow to Peyton has to be one of the craziest rollercoasters for that fanbase.
