Patriots 53-Man Roster Projection 1.0

Additions to the roster between now and opening day notwithstanding, this looks like the most reasonable projection I've seen.

I agree for the most part, although I'd cut Beauharnais to keep Ebner.

I am not going to be surprised if and when Aiken is cut because I am fully expecting Tebow to compete for the role as long snapper as well as the emergency QB spot in addition to a backup H-Back/tight end spot.

When has he ever been a long snapper?

I agree. It's every coaches wild dream to replace the LS with a useful player who does something else, but there's a reason nobody's been successful at it.

LS are really good at what they do.

And despite having several players who can LS in an emergency, BB has felt it worth devoting a full roster spot every season since 2000.

There is another facet to this too. The other thing they would do is OL, TE, LB.
Those positions are very susceptible to finger, hand, arm and shoulder injuries.
A long snapper with an injured arm is a big problem and could easily lose you a game.

Another media roster projection, this one from Nick Underhill; he has Cunningham, Gregory and Edelman among those being cut.
