Is someone going to point out a 3rd string QB that would have been a better choice? That might have beaten out Sanchez? Maybe Grossman?

Zombie Al Davis is still the leading candidate.

Skip Bayless (notorious simpleton I know) just said "it won't be long before Tebow beats out Mallett to become Brady's back up and Brady is going to be 37 next season..." I've never wanted to throw a remote control through a television as much as I just did.

The more I think about it the more I can rationalise that Tebow on the Patriots drowning out the media concerns about Gronk may be an O.K. thing... for now.

It looks like he's trolling the anti-Tebow camp which is harder to do but potentially more rewarding than trolling the pro-Tebow camp.

Or perhaps he is just supporting the FO for landing an upgrade for the 3rd QB spot who might actually be able to contribute someplace else?

So if we all agree that he is an upgrade to what we had before and we can all agree that its a non guaranteed deal which means the pats can cut him at any time, then this must be personal?

So my question is what did Tebow do to warrent a camp against him? His talent or lack there of is irrelevant because we are talking bout replacing Kafkla. It cant be the money? Is probably isnt the roster space singe we have 90 spots and prob would have had a spot for a third QB.

If Tebow plays better than Mallet then Tebow should play should a scenario come up that warrants it. God Forbid. I just want to win, I dont care who is on the team.

I would rather have a guy like Tebow on the team than some jerk off who has to talk about how its "not about the money" when it is indeed all about the money. Or another locker room disruption.

If Tebow beats out Mallett for the backup position then Mallett officially becomes a huge bust of a pick.

Could someone really make a susinct rational argument for why this is a terrible signing? I see no real downside.

I say this as a Tebow skeptic, but at the end of the day it's him over Kafka. Maybe he turns into a gamer, maybe not. But we know Kafka is garbage so I don't see the downside.

1. They don't even need or carry QB3 lately.
2. Tebow can't contribute anything of real value at any other position.

So if we all agree that he is an upgrade to what we had before

No.

and we can all agree that its a non guaranteed deal which means the pats can cut him at any time, then this must be personal?

No. I want him to succeed here just so I can see Belichick's epic **** eating grin.

So my question is what did Tebow do to warrent a camp against him?

Attempt and fail horribly to throw a pass as a starting quarterback in the national football league?

His talent or lack there of is irrelevant because we are talking bout replacing Kafkla.

I'm pretty sure he's replacing ... what's that old guy's name? ... Right, Al Davis.

It cant be the money? Is probably isnt the roster space singe we have 90 spots and prob would have had a spot for a third QB.

Trying to make sense of anything Tebow won't get you anywhere. It's best to just roll with it.

Well he might bust anyway. What does Tebow have to do with that?

Also, I would think right now Mallett is going to bear down and pick up his game knowing Tebow is breathing down his neck. A much better situation to protect that valuable pick.

I cant believe people are having a conniption over a ******* 90th player on a training camp roster. A player that has actually at least accomplished something and is a good person.

So he thanks God every time he talks. Who cares. He comes across as a goof. That is about it. Why the media is obsessed with him is another whole mystery.

More to the point, how many 3rd string QBs can long-snap?

We told Tebow he gets to try to beat out Mallet for #2 and hope Tom gets tired, oh and by the way, to get that chance you have to do whatever it takes including long snapping, tightending, scout teaming, and carrying equipment. But really, it's for a chance to be a QB. So it's all good.

No idea how this fits into "only interested in playing QB," but I suspect the explanation was something like the above, delivered by one Josh Mickey D.

Never happen IMHO. Mallet's the best backup the Pats have had in a long time and Tebow is, well, Tebow.

I'm 26, born and raised a Gator fan, started in the early 90's under Spurrier, watched Zook wreck the team, watched Meyer resurrect it, and am currently watching Muschamp put together a tough, hard nosed team. Tell me again how I'm one of these "Tebow haters".

If you listen closely, you'll hear your point imploding.

My point was where are all the Tebow fans that are supposed to invade and wreck the forum?

My other poiint is that the hysterics are coming form long time members here who can not stand Tebow.

and who cares if you are a gator fan? I cant stand the gators or at the very least could care less about them , . Tebow fans and tebow haters come in all shapes and sizes, that is completely irrelevant

Mallett shouldnt be pushed? What has he done? Tebow cant be on special teams?

I agree Tebow stinks as a starting QB. I am still waiting for someone to point out a few better 3rd string guys. I mentioned one. Are there any others?

Until that is done I will assume we probably have the best 3rd string QB int he league and have made Mallett work harder to become what he is supposed to become.

Ok there is no room for any cool headed logic in this thread...please move along...

It's because of the circus that he brings with him.

This thread is evidence enough that he's a major distraction.

Plus, lol at the idea of him being an upgrade over anybody.

Tebow won't push Mallett and Mallett already beat out Hoyer who is miles ahead of Tebow anyways. Tebow is QB3 right now probably just so he can run the scout team to simulate the read option QBs and to be a good guy in the locker room and as a favor to McD. Maybe so he can help the wideouts practice catching bad passes. And also for our entertainment. Can't wait to see him kicking field goals.

Kafka is better? ok. If you say so

So a 3rd QB never pushes the 2nd guy? Also if Brady plays for 4 more years is Mallett just going to sit around an be a backup that long?

So we all agree Tebow is QB 3. Who are the better QB 3 options out there?

Plus as you indicate he is extremely mobile and since many teams have a mobile QB he makes a great scout guy. For cheap dough. The pats need that with all the mobile QBs in the league.

And if the "circus" gets unbearable (which shouldnt happen on this team) they can cut him.

You don't like the guy and that is perfectly legit. Dosent mean the team isnt in a better position with him on the 90 man roster at this point.
