The 2013 season: The Jets suck (as usual)

Lurking another forum. Jets fans think this years defense will be better than 2009s. For those don't remember, that Jets defense was by far the best in the NFL and the Jets last season allowed more points than we did.


Stats for 2009 defense:
1st in passing yards per attempt
1st in point per game
4th in rushing yards per attempt
8th in turnovers
18th in sacks

Their defense sucked last year and they have no safeties or LBs this year. Part of the reason they had such good numbers for pass defense is because opposing offenses started with great field position and teams couldn't get a lot of yards to score starting at mid-field all the time.

So I wanted to look it up to because we can't just be throwing out wild claims without some kind of back up. So I googled to find out if the Jets really do suck. To be fair I googled all the AFC East teams so as not to look partisan. Well, the results are in. The Jets really do suck.

Buffalo Bills suck..............About 430,000 results (0.25 seconds)

Miami Dolphins suck..........About 556,000 results (0.16 seconds)

New England Patriots suck..About 859,000 results (0.14 seconds)

I love how it took .25 seconds to find 430,000 hits for "Buffalo Bills suck." The search engine had to take a little longer to find pages that said "Buffalo Bills" before it moved on... I've always thought the JEST suck, the Bills are just there... I'm not always certain that's even true anymore... when google has trouble finding you that's a statement in and of itself.

Although I will say that I often say "Bills suck" around the end of the month. It's the "Buffalo" part that's problematic.

Yep. They have absolutely no way to cover RBs or TEs. Remember Bart Scott trying to cover Vereen? LOL. That's the same with anyone in the LB corps.

LOL! First Geno Smith, now Dee Milliner has fired his agent because he was drafted too low. Milliner looked clearly upset when he was drafted by the Jets. I wonder if he was more upset for not being drafted in the top 5 or by the Jets.
