Listened to the entire show today at work (slow day) And they can't come to grips with them trading down. Beetle was the only one who saw it as a good move due to it being a pretty flat draft. As in same value in say 2nd round as there was in last first ect :bricks:

Does anyone care what Felger and Mazz think? *does not raise hand*

Felger is a pimp ,media whore and eternal Indy outsider...it's what he does...I got no problem with him stirring the native population with his contrarian schtick...because that's all it is, a schtick. If the Pats used the 29th pick, I think we all know exactly what he would have said today...why didn't the Pats trade DOWN and get more picks??!!

That rotten scumbaggarotti runt though is another story. He literally cannot take the big dirt nap fast enough to suit me. He and Tomase should "accidentally" trip and fall into a cement mixer and then be poured as the foundation of the next Boston Harbor Sewerworks.

.

Or they would say...why take that guy...or "now they have to have that first rounder pan out or they are screwed"

They win when people who don't even care about what they have to say still tune in

I listened to Felcher when he did stints on EEI....I can't stomach the sound of the little runterrotti's voice...you've heard of the itch you can't scratch??...for me he's the bug you can't squash...

The thing that gets me is they offer no inside on who they should have gone after at #29. Not that I expect them to. But if you are gonna complain about it this much at least have some idea.

They just go by the assumption that if you select a player in the 1st he's gotta be better than the combination you get in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I have optimism that Collins, Ryan and Boyce can contribute more than any one guy they could have taken with #29. Not to mention they got Blount with the 7th rounder the Vikings sent to them.

So if Pats used #29 on Collins or Dobson am I suppose to believe they would applaud that? Well I can't, they would go on a tirade of how whatever guy was a reach.

But because Ozzie Newsome didn't trade out it must have been a bad move. Which was because the guy that was probably the best safety on their board when their selection came up wouldn't have been there in the 2nd because the Jags would have more than likely taken him.

Like it was brought up in the other thread on how a member called up and said how Ozzie traded 2 of the last 3 years. Yet that didn't fit their motive so they spun it.

How about Bill going up to get Hightower once Pittsburgh took DeCastro. I think it is safe to say Hightower was the guy Baltimore wanted. But Douche and Squeaky won't talk about that because they probably don't even remember it happened and it also goes against their "Ozzie is so great" prerogative. Oh but that's right Squeaky doesn't like Hightower so that was a bad move.

And for all we know the guy(s) the Pats deemed 1st round worthy were gone when it was their selection. Who knows maybe if DeAndre Hopkins was there at #29 they pull the trigger and select him.

And in other news: water is wet.

How about Felger's draft coverage on Thursday and Friday; possibly the worst draft coverage in the history of the draft....only exceeded by his coverage in previous years in which he spent most of the draft saying the that draft bored him

only person on that show i like to listen to is beetle..and then when wiggy is on which i think it tuesdays?

I just listened to Sirius NFL radio about the draft. Even listening to Gil Brandt reminisce about how they used to do the draft back before electricity was invented is better than enduring Boston sports radio.

Why can't beetle run the show...take over those those two clowns

Another idiotic thing they said today: Gronk was partying this weekend at Kansas State i believe watching his brother play. And they talked about this and how he was drinking. Then they called him out for drinking while on antibiotics becasue it reduces the effectiveness of antibiotics. Of course they were wrong

Although alcohol doesn't reduce the effectiveness of most antibiotics, it can reduce your energy and delay how quickly you recover from illness

I think what they had a problem with was waiting until the 52nd pick instead of moving up within the 2nd round which would have cost us only our lower round picks. For our picks in a weak draft to pan out that means we think all the other teams don't know what they are doing which seems kinda arrogant.

The best ever was Felger's meltdown about them taking Gronk and Hernandez.

I wish I could find the audio of that.

I think that point is semantics if it is delaying your recovery from an injury that has screwed with you since November it is a problem. I'm sure the team has talked to him about this.

No.........

I wish everyone would just boycott them so we could get better talent on air. I just don't understand the self hate thing that attracts everyone to negative personalities.

no..they didn't have a problem with that. Their problem was...why would you move up in 2nd..if you moved down from a late 1st round pick.
