Big trade ... Wonder who it'll be probably mallett to get picks back for the one we give up to the steelers.

Or maybe We are adding an island to Pats Nation

That's hilariously and insanely stupid.

That said, it resembles some stories I could tell you about my late teens/early twenties.

Oh believe me, I've done some regrettable things in my time, too.

But that's just like a whole new dimension of stupid. Mind-boggling, really.

Sanders-LLoyd-Jones-Amendola seem like our 2004 WR corp kinda. Maybe not as good, obviously not as trustworthy yet, but potential to be.

Yeah.

No superstars, but a lot of guys who have potential to haul in 500-900 yards a season.

Why not? That looks pretty clear to me that Sanders is no longer a Steeler.

My thoughts as well. Sanders, Wallace, and Brown are all really good friends, and refer to themselves as the triad or the trio or something like that. Sanders and Wallace both being gone is probably what he was referring to, and he would be one of the first to find out since he and sanders are basically BFFs

Yeah.

This got me thinking. I always said Brady was too reliant on welker and it made us easier to defend. Having 5-6 legit targets that can all get 600-900 yards will make us like the offense of old. The favorite receiver will be the open one.

Now I'm feeling better. Your post got through my thick head

But then you add 2 studs at the TE position. So I guess our non-superstardom images are shattered

Not that he is the most unbiased analysts, but Pioli thinks Sanders would be one of the best steals of free agency.

Does Brown actually have inside information, or is he just making an educated guess on what will happen based on reports?

It's really interesting. Look at these numbers:

2001-2004 (won 3 SBs in 4 years)
PPG (regular season): 24.1
PPG (post season): 24.2

2005-2012 (haven't won a SB in those years)
PPG (regular season): 30.1
PPG (post season): 25.1

Welker Era (2007-2012)
PPG (regular season): 32.6
PPG (post season): 24.0

So their offense with Welker as a focal point, was absolutely one of the best offenses, over a pretty long span of time, which means they were consistently excellent, in NFL history. Historically great offensive production.

But come playoff time, this Welker-centered offense averaged 8.6 points per game *less* than in the regular season, and averaged 0.2 points per game less than the offense that won 3 Super Bowls in 4 seasons, even though that 2001-04 offense was significantly worse during the regular season (32.6 ppg vs. 24.1 ppg).

I don't know what this means, but I do know that the 2007-12 offense was uber-elite, and yet it really struggled in the playoffs, certainly compared to its regular season production.

Very weird.

Well, the Amendola signing didn't come out until a day after he actually signed with us. It's possible Sanders has signed and the media hasn't caught wind of it (or at least, ESPN/Schefter). It makes sense that Brown who is Sander's teammate/friend could know that Sanders is gone. wouldn't you text your buddy after changing teams? I would.

That makes as much sense as anything, if anything makes sense..

Would be a huge upgrade compared to last season. Jones would be our version of Edelman imo, but Amendola and Sanders are HUGE upgrades, esp added to our TE's.

Going with educated guess based on reports. Sanders in in NE today meeting with everyone...doubt he has been in contact with brown. Busy day when meeting with teams

I wouldn't be surprised if Sanders or someone else in the Steelers organization told Brown that the deal to NE was done and he just took it to twitter.

There's this new thing called texting...
