in 2003 and 2004.
Are you telling me we can't have a great team and a great WR at the same time?
No we dont. He proved he can play good without stud WR's so lets not waste money on one.He has won 3 SB's without great WR's and just goes out and plays. Wouldn't you like to see him have a Stud WR just once to throw too?
Image if we did.

How do you get the stud WR?
It would be nice to have one, no doubt, but if it means trading 2 1st rounders, does that help the team overall? Do we give up the moon for a better passing game just to watch our defense fall apart?
We owe Tom Brady, along with every other player, to put the best TEAM on the field, not just the guys that make it easier for him.
Again, I would love to see what we could do with a guy as talented as Marvin Harrison or Chad Johnson but not at the expense of having a bad defense or special teams.
CJ didnt come off another teams trash heap. The Pats don't owe Brady a STUD receiver (for all the reasons others have listed here), but they do owe him at least one guy that didn't come off another team's trash heap.
I agree with this comment and let me say I am Not in favor of trading picks for a WR stud either. We need LB/DB's but could pick up another WR somewhere down the line.
My point was.... How good would he be with a Rice type receiver ?
