Look, everyone, Including me, has ended every single season the last 8 years in a feeling of despair. Why?? If we don't win the SB then the seasons considered a utter failure by all of our fans.

NEWSFLASH: It's extremely difficult to win a SB. You guys are gonna regret it when TB and BB are gone.

I'm done with all the expectations stuff. Have a good season and see what happens from then on is how Im looking at it from here on out. I'm tired of this feeling of failure, it's not worth it anymore.

I actually thought the 08 season ended well with a win.

Welcome to the club. I joined after the Jest 2010 playoff loss. I used to get super high after wins and then flip out after losses. Now? I just enjoy the ride...or not on nights like tonight.

We can call this the "Public School " thread.

Looking back at the year, this was a 'Good' Patriots team but not a 'Great' Patriots team. Having gone 12-4, they were lucky to get a bye when Houston sucked it up and gave it to us late in the season.

The 49ers are a great football team and the Ravens were not only lucky, but had huge momentum.

With the bye week, i expect the Ravens to cool down and get destroyed by the 49ers in the superbowl.

This was a disappointment, but think about some of the other disappointments we've had over the years.

08 postseason: lose the perfect season
09 postseason: we dont make it
10 postseason: Blown out at home to the ravens in divisional week
11 Postseason: Blown out at home to the Jets when you are the #1 seed.
12 Postseason: lose Superbowl to the Giants 2nd time.
13 Postseason: Blown out by the Ravens in the AFC Championship.

One could argue that this one was a little bit easier to take than the other recent playoff exits, i don't know what your expectations were when Gronkowski went down again, but i had some serious doubts about them winning the whole thing without him and some doubts about this game (which have proven to be valid).

Our expectations are to win the Superbowl every year, but clearly we arent ready to do that yet, we need to improve on both sides of the ball and we need to coach better, especially against our Rivals like Baltimore.
