The Official Patriots vs Jag's Post game thread

For the Steelers, the "2 years in the playoffs, 1 year out" continues, as they fall to the Bengals.

For the Texans, one more loss could cost them not just home field advantage, but also a bye.

The Patriots, meanwhile, won their game despite the defense almost being JV-like in makeup. They'll take it and look forward to the Miami game.

I would rest Talib next week and hope he is ready to go for playoffs. Dennard needs to come back,

looks like we wont have to play the steelers at all!!

Not sure why the mediots were so afraid of the steelers, big ben hasnt been himself since he came back from the injury. Still think we get a bye

Everyone here is b***** about Chung are being naive goody2shoes. First the hit was not helmet to helmet, second you need those sorts of players.

Chung had a great game objectively and set some fear into the Jag WRs.

Chung had two gift INTs and was terrible for most of the game.

The announcer kept saying it was head to head and didnt even correct himself after the slo-mo replay blatantly showed it was his shoulder. Those guys made a tough game tougher to listen to.

Our TE Gonzalez was awesome.

I didn't think they came into this one determined to make a statement and firing on all cylinders. I think they tried to scrape out a win with as little as they could. It was ugly, but at least they won.

Jags sad D made Brady look average.

Pats D better get healthy soon or it will be one and done.

This team needs a bye bigtime.

Maybe today was their bye.

Except for WWW. He took a beating.

They asked Belichick in the post game conference and he disagreed. Said he didn't know what else Chung could do in that shoulder to helmet play.

There was both good and bad from Chung. He is the only guy on the back end who will give alligator arms to WRs

without a reasonably healthy Talib & Dennard we are in serious trouble against any team in the playoffs. Ahern is a paper tiger without Gronk and Branch is done. I would play Slater over Branch. Sorry to be so negative but imho we have gone from SB contender to in big trouble in 2 weeks. If we played tomorrow Denver would crush us. Today the coaching was pathetic!!

another pretty solid game for Lloyd...but HORRIBLE offensive playcalling IMO

It's always beyond obvious whether the play is a pass or a run. The Pats dont seem to value being unpredictable.

I'm not sure what that has to do with my post, since I didn't comment on the penalty....

This defense without Aqib Talib terrifies me.

i take very little from a game like this

after the two biggest games of the year.....against a crappy opponent, with your playoff seed essentially in the hands of others

get the W without injury and move on

really can't over analyze it......defense actually played fairly decent all things considered.....first drive sucked, then they held to two FG's off two Brady INT's

3 points over the final 3 quarters, more or less.....all without a number of starters/players out of position

next

OL need to do better job blocking against stunts.

Is there any report on Brady's health after that last sack? The announcer said he was in pain on the turf; nothing after that.

By definition a pick is a gift - a bad decision or a lucky tip. The effort gone into securing it doesn't change that.

Hard to say he's terrible when he was put back in the game when Wilson stunk up the place.

What happen to Talib, rest or what?

OL had problems for the third week in a row with our regulars. Brady taking way too many hits. But you gotta help them with a running game. The play calling was right out of last year today. They will not wil in the playoffs without a solid running game. Even more imp if Talib is finished.
