In honor of Tom Brady playing against the team he was a big fan of as a child and one of San Francisco's biggest hometown fans going into the 2000 draft with a chance of the 49ers to draft him anytime before round 6...SF goes Giovanni Carmazzi in round 3
Lets see how the two compare in careers....

3 TIME AFC PLAYER OF THE YEAR
5 TIME AFC CHAMPION QB
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GIOVANNI CARMAZZI
0 COMPLETIONS
0 PASSING YARDS
0 PASSING TOUCHDOWNS
CAREER PASSER RATING - 0
NEVER PLAYED IN A SUPER BOWL
NOT EVER ON A PRO BOWL BALLOT
NEVER WON AN NFC CHAMPIONSHIP
....
Actually to sum it all up,he never played in an NFL game
There were many teams who gave up on Tom Brady in the 2000 draft, but no team will ever regret it more than the 49ers who had their chance to draft their season ticket holder for many years.
IMO This was the biggest draft mistake in the history of the NFL
49ers fans will watch this weekend wondering what would have been if one of their biggest fans as a child was ever brought home to be their starting QB
