LSU - 'Bama defensive draft picks

I also like Reid's game. Rambo of Georgia, if he didn't have issues, has impressed me as well.

If the Pats are to get a front line safety in the second or third round, this is the draft to do that.

I am still thinking Barrett Jones at #32 for the Pats. Although I really like those OT's for Texas A&M, they are both special players, I just doubt either falls to us.

Barrett Jones at 32 seems like the smartest choice. Having such a versatile lineman would be a tremendous help considering our line injury issues. Take a pass rusher in the 2nd and hope for a talent to fall into the 3rd.

Most teams place a premium on pass rushers, even if this draft had 6 or 7 with 1st round grades, I doubt any of them fall to us at #32.

If BB does go defense in the first round, I think he will go back to the secondary, especailly since McCourty seems to have found a home at safety.

Banks from Miss State is a player I like a ton, but I doubt he falls to us.

If BB goes OL later in the draft, there is a tackle from Central Mich, I think, who put together a great tape from this past season. He is a bit shorter than BB prefers at OT, but projects as a year two starter in my book.

He's being talked of as an almost certain first rounder. I've even seen him described as the best LT in the draft (assuming you are talking about Eric Fisher).

Fisher is also 6'7", hardly "shorter than BB usually prefers" (unless you're using Vollmer and Solder as your standard).

Yeah. Wonder if Ochmed is confusing him with Winters (6'5")

Serious question: In what round?

The 7th.. He's a guy who didn't play this year and got arrested again after being kicked off the team...It's going to take a large leap of faith for someone to pick him earlier than that.

It's working well in Phillie with their new RB.
