NFL.com : Hernandez Out vs Colts

Makes a lot of sense. Play him on Sunday, and he only has four days before playing again. Hold him out until Thursday, and then he gets 10 days to heal up before the next game.

And let's be honest. The Pats shouldn't need him to score lots of points against the Colts. Now if both Hernandez and Welker are out, then I'll be a little worried.

Kinda what i was thinking as well..it's a short week for them. But we will see

Wow. Hopefully this will be his last week injured. I can't imagine what their record would be if they were fully healthy.

PS - nobody cares about how this affects your fantasy teams!

Sounds like someone's team isn't making the playoffs this year... :D

I have Hernandez on one of me teams too, but I also have Vernon on that team. Not like Davis has done much either....:( and I sit at 6-4

We could be very well without Herandez, Welker, Mankins, and Connolly, and would the the only offense that could lose 4 starters in the course of 1 week and not have it mentioned as a factor by the media.

Everybody else in the league gets lots of free passes for injuries. Only the Pats don't seem to be allowed to use the injury card by the local and national media.

That being said the interior back ups of McDonald, Thomas, and Cannon have already proven they can be acceptable, but our OL depth this game is going to be for *****. And why is it that we can be the only team in the league that can go into a game without their 2 top receivers and still be expected to throw for 300+ yds and 3 TDs. The good news is that we just might get to see the kind of receivers Edelman, Fells, and Schiancoe are.

Here's a tip. I had Hernandez and MBennett as my 2 TEs and forgot the Giants had a bye (which is probably why I'm 5-5) So I went out this afternoon and picked up Dwayne Allen off the waiver wire this afternoon. The Colts lost their top rookie TE for this game, so this kid should get a lot of looks at least. Just a tip for a Friday afternoon

IMO it's at least partially because the Pats refuse to play the injury card. I prefer it that way.

Man, that injury list is long. Who actually practiced? Brady and Mayo?
