"My first thought," Ryan said Wednesday, "was I looked and I saw who was second [Patriots coach Bill Belichick] and I was like, 'hey, I finally beat Belichick at something. I got him. I knew it would take time, but I got him.' Golly, like it hasn't been a tough enough year."

Its actually a very reasonable result.
There is no doubt Rex is the most overrated. BB is considered the best by just about everyone, so it is natural that he would get votes.
Rex is overrated because he is rated as competant.
BB is overrated becauase he is rated as the GOAT.

His response was very clever, IMO. He poked fun at himself (something people kind of like) while calling attention to the fact that Belichick also got a lot of votes as "overrated" too. Well played, Rex!

As Much as I hate the Jet's I actually like Ryan. You can tell he worships the ground Belichick walks on. I wouldn't want him couching our team,,, but, I can't help but wanna have a beer with him.

You could say Rex is arrogant,you could say he is overrated,you could say he isn't a very good head coach but what he is,is a very funny man with a good sense of humor.

Its hard not to like the guy's personality,he's a refreshing change from the norm.
