Was going to ask.... but you did right with the *

Roger Jetdell was a former Jets employee.

So now at least we know know why he hates the Pats so much.

Since when did internship became considered as employment, which in turn led to his hatred for the Pats?

Oh it was just an internship? well that explains why he is such a great commish.

you wouldn't intern for a team unless you liked them

So...you're a young guy interested in sports management, you get offered a plum internship with an NFL franchise, and you say "nah, not my favorite team, I'll just work at McDonalds?"

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Goodell isn't a Jets fan. But the guy was based in NYC and coming off an internship at the league office. It wouldn't take any special fan loyalty to accept an opportunity with the Jets.

yeah...it's just a coinky dinky....BUT...when you put it next to at least two dozen other coinky dinkys involving Goodell, the Rats, and the decisions he's made involving them as opposed to the rest of the league, well then, I think it DOES show some special fan loyalty...as in young rich kid gets greased into a plum Jet internship after working for the NFL for a year...and then, after a year elapses, he's rehired to the NFL offices on the personal request of Leon Hess, who wrote a personal letter on Goodell's behalf to the commissioner. He gets rehired and *voila*, the little eager beaver Jet brown noser ascends to commissioner after a series of votes by the owners and here we are today...every week it's an apology fest and testimonial party for Roger Ramjet by fans who cannot seem to understand that the NFL is NOT pure as the driven snow...it is like any other human endeavor...and, as history has shown only too well AND repeatedly for thousands of years....power corrupts...and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The Jets fans are finally giving up on their season. I like it!

I would jump at the chance to intern at any nfl team, yes even the browns.

well, if YOU were the son of a New York US senator, who also happened to frequent the same NY circles that Jet owner Leon Hess did, you wouldn't have to jump...Daddy would just ask the mega-scion for a slight quid pro quo and BINGO!...you are a Jet intern...which, for any person born and raised in JAMESTOWN NEW YORK, would seem to be a gigantic plum tree grove...never mind a plum

So would I don't get me wrong, but Goodel likely could have landed an internship with a half dozen NFL teams, the Jets were his #1 choice

So I'm looking at this thread, and thinking "are they really being serious?"

Trade Deadline Tuesday @ 8PM - TheGangGreen.com Message Board

1. Apart from Revis, exactly which Jets players are going to carry any value? "we should trade all our useless players" is one such post. Yeah, because teams make blind trades. Your roster is full of trash, and you'd be lucky to get a decent pick for all of them combined.

2. Who the feck would want to play for what is currently (and argably has been for it's entire existence) such a train-wreck of a Franchise? If I got traded to the Jets, I'd announce my retirement.

  1. Browns players
  2. Bengals players who feel uncomfortable because they don't have a criminal record and, therefore, don't fit in with their teammates

Tough to find anyone else, though...

Whomever posts at JI as Rah Rah 19 is putting in some solid work...

Great post OP. I can't believe all of the negativity on this board. SOJF here prefer celebrating a loss than a win. It's pathetic. Here are some other positives from the game:

- We won the ToP battle
- We stopped the run
- We averaged 5 ypc
- Our franchise QB put up big yards
- Maybin doubled his season tackle total in 1 game

It's clear that Rex has this team moving in the right direction. We've just had some bad breaks along the way. If we continue to play at this level good things will happen.

I thought the Maybin line was his best.

I think this guy is a friend of mine from another site...that Maybin line is the dead giveaway...Maybin is Rayge Rayge's Agirllys Heel (sic)

ELITE!!!! NO CEILING!!!

"Rex Ryan was frustrated again, a feeling that’s becoming a regular thing for the New York Jets coach.

There was some anger in Ryan’s red face, probably some embarrassment, too, while trying to make sense of this latest mess for his team.

“To say I never saw this coming is an understatement,” Ryan said after a 30-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. “This one, no question, is a tough one to accept.”

Ryan thought the Jets had prepared well and had a good week of practice, coming into the game expecting to “empty our tanks” as the Jets tried to sweep the Dolphins for the first time in his four seasons as coach.

Not this year. "
