Honestly, this is no joke. There's a cold going around here that saps every bit of energy from your body for at least 48 hours. Uncommonly awful.

We're doomed.

Just kidding...I think there is nothing to worry about.

It's been going around the Seattle area as well. I'm just now finally shaking off this cold that's lasted a little over a week.

Put them on an IV for the night/tomorrow..no worries

A cold kept me out of cross country races for 2 weeks last month

Pretty sure it was un-diagnosed bronchitis though.

I'm pretty sure anyone on the Patriots could play with bronchitis, let alone a cold. Toward the end of the season you always hear about players who have the flu but they don't really perform differently, whereas you and I (maybe just I) can't even function with such an illness.

  1. Most of the time "flu" on an NFL injury report means "stomach flu", which of course isn't flu at all, but norovirus (i.e. cruise ship disease) or something similar.
  2. After the 2006 AFCCG I have come to dread any illness stuff showing up on Pats injury reports...

Can anyone provide specifics as to who this cold effected?

I'll become concerned if Jeff Goldblum puts a soft drink can on each of the affected Patriots player's heads and starts shooting at them.

I think that the team and staff are likely prepared for these kinds of things, at least for the most part.

They do receive superior medical attention, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I agree that going cross-country to SEA, then back, then to London, then back isn't the ideal situation, but they do have a bye after that.

Let's check back in 2 wks from now and see what it's looking like.

Get it out of the way now so come playoff time they're all built up an immunity.

I've had a bad cold for several weeks now. Ain't going away.

Hasn't prevented me from giving several hour-long presentations in my job, nor cycling my normal 15 miles every other day.

I doubt it's a big deal.

any way they can get that canned air the airlines use at 35,000 feet to get acclimated?

...and BTW...Patriots ...cross country 3000 miles...THEN cross Atlantic 6000 miles from Seattle to London...meanwhile, Omissioner Jetdell sets up the Jets for THREE STRAIGHT HOME GAMES a few games into the season and tacitly approves maiming, crippling and dirty play by fining Jet players the LEAST amount of money for the WORST hits.

Level playing field???...or the neo-communist agenda of His Excellency, Kommisar Goodell?

Jersey Shore, One Direction, The Kardashians and nose piercings.

After 6 games pats have played just 2 home games and will be 3 after 8. Sets up nicely for the 2nd half unlike the jets who already wouldve played 4 at home by tomorrow.

man...if only I could pin the Kardashians on Goodelll...I'd be a..a...a SUPERHERO!
