That's so odd (but not surprising) because during pre-season I started a thread about Vinatieri because he nailed a 53 yard kick in PIT...

I never would have thought Adam would be able to keep playing 7 years after he left NE. At least, certainly not with the ability to nail 50+ yard field goals; a aspect of his game that tailed off towards the end of his career in NE.

Apparently he nailed two 50+ yarders in 2011, too. And two in 2008, as well.

Yeah, looks like Vinateri is a flat out better long distance kicker now, than he was back in the day. Not just because of the dome either. Heinz Field is an awful place for kickers....

Wow, a lot of teams are 1-1. Saints are 0-2 but will be 1-2 by end of round 3. They have KC.

I watched that 3 times, he wasn't touched. Not a good day for the replacement officials at all. Time to bring back the real ones after some of the debacles of today.
