NFL 2012 Kicks Off: Cowboys at Giants Tonight

Only goes back to 2005. Pats beat Oakland.

2004 actually when the Patriots defeated the Colts. So far since the Super Bowl winner has opened up the season, they are 8-0 to open up the year. Today is the 9th year and if the Giants lose they will be the first Super Bowl Champion to lose the home opener to kickoff the NFL season.

I don't know about Cruz not holding out. With all these drops, he might not get that big pay day he thought he might get.

cruz is killing me....and it's 1 game..

Romo is playing a fine game. It's funny isn't it. If you shut down the Giants D-Line they don't have much else going for them.

You can't shut them down with a static or move like hot lava QB.

this game makes the SB loss sting a little more. the giants are not a great team. they got hot when it mattered most.
But the Pats didn't have as much talent last year as this Cowboys team does. Dallas is loaded this year.

The last Super Bowl winner to lose its Week 1 game the following season was the ’99 Broncos.

Interesting
It wasn't the opening game of the entire season.

I gotta say....this head Ref has been pretty good tonight

now eli overthrows his receiver.

dallas is committing so many stupid mistakes and penalties

How did they lose to these clowns....so frusterating don't think I could make it through another pats-giants super bowl.

I was wrong. Thought it was a year later.

They were still better than us though. We were a pretty flawed team too. Suspect pass D, wack run game, and then Gronk went down.

The Giants might be the luckiest football team in the history of planet Earth... UGH

wont be surprised if dallas blows this. they did this last yr too in their opening game at the jets.

I think it's further than that. I'm pretty sure I remember the Bucs beating the Eagles on their opener in 2003, but the game was @ Philly and I'm almost positive it was a night game. In 2002 we beat the Steelers when Gillette opened. And I don't remember 2001 opener.

giants kick deep to rely on romo turnover

We're about due for a Romo pick six
