According to Mr. Lombardi of the nfl network (who is very plugged in to the patriots) Mr. Bolden has been labeled a fantasy sleeper!
Not only is he going to make the roster, he is currently pressing Ridley for the "feature" back role!
That is awesome news!

He hasn't been labelled a fantasy sleeper, Lombardi thinks he may be one.
Patriots use RBBC not a feature back.
It was just a hunch based on what he's seen so far, not inside info.

Nevertheless, it's good that he's been noticed.

Well "according to " means by the afermentioned individual which was Lombardi who DID label Bolden a fantasy sleeper.
Him beeing "noticed" is a huge understatement considering he is outshining 2nd round pick Vereen.

I've heard a lot of good things about Vereen, too, over the last couple of days. At this point, we're either seeing a) hyperbole at work, or b) a stable of promising young RBs, which is led by Ridley, but with a lot of talent behind him.

I'd consider taking Bolden over Larsen.

Is Bolden working on fielding punts or KO's ??

Although it's only preseason, we'll be able to compare Ridley/Vereen/Bolden in game action soon.

FWIW, his son is working as an intern for the Patriots.

Based on what he said a few months ago, if Bolden is a fantasy sleeper, Hoyer must be a fantasy zombie.

Bolden is making this team.

Everything points to it at this stage.

How many snaps he gets is a different story.

Take it with a grain of salt, but according to Boldens college coach he is a complete back. The only reason for his decline of production in his last year, was he played through an ankle injury.
IMO Larsen has value on both sides of the ball, as well as special teams.

Has any reporter mentioned anything about Ridley in regards to fumbling yet? (positive or negative)

the notion of running back by committee is only feasible if a player does not step up for a feature back role.......if bolden provides that, he will be a feature back.

and by feature back, I mean someone who rushes for 1000 yards

I'd say more like RBBC is necessary if you don't have a feature back. Even if you have a player *capable* of being one doesn't mean it's necessarily a good idea to *make* him one.

Dude hasn't even played in a preseason game yet slow down. Undrafted FA love here is kinda ridiculous sometimes. I really hope he plays well though.

The amount of UDFA love last year wasn't even close to what Bolden and Francis are getting now.

And rightfully so. The highlight of last years crop was silvestro and tarpinian. Bolden, and Francis have shown more capability in one week of training camp than those guys did all year last season.
On the other hand I was all on board the Fletcher signing the previous year.

The Patriots run a RB committee. Despite talent, it's unlikely we'll have an outright #1 on the chart who qualifies as fantasy sleeper.

Every summer I question my sexual orientation as I fall in love with a couple Pats UDFAs

I was going to "fix" your post up for you real nicely, but thought twice out of respect for my elders ;)

:D

Is that really what you expect to happen?
