The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck

Amazing -- 1,000 posts already in Jets Suck 2012, and the regular season hasn't even begun. This promises to be an epic year of Green Beans suckage.

Correction...a 1001...which ,coincidentally, is the number incompletions expected to be thrown this season by the Dyslexic Duo Sanbow...(or is that Bowsan???)

1001: A Green Beans Odyssey

... And, a fond look back at some memorable high points:

nice....

"Broadway Schmo"...heh

The Schmo and Tebow Show

If you're basing QB survival on the offensive line, Mark "unlimited ceiling" Sanchez has less NFL time left than Brady.

please..STOP!...my ribs...oh my aching ribs...too...much...hilarity...:biggrin2:

The difficulty is that he also seems to have an unlimited floor, a basement under it, and quite likely a sub-basement, given how long it will take the JEST to hit bottom and admit he makes Chad Pennington look like... well, like he was supposed to be.

There are porn stars that suck less than the JEST.

Being the kind of person that I am, I just had to try and figure out why the Jets suck so much. I can understand how they'd suck off the field with the kind of clubhouse that The Mouth That Roared creates, but how did they become so sucky on the field. One look at the AFCE draft history for the last five years tells the story;

Team / Rds 1-4 / 5-7 / Total
NE / 25 / 24 / 49
Buff / 23 / 19 / 42
Miami / 22 / 20 / 42
NJJ / 13 / 10 / 23

Yeow! I understand that they made a move or two to acquire players, but all teams do that. The fact that they drafted less than half the number of players as the Pats have is astounding to me. No wonder they suck.

Yeah but they got Mark Sanchez with one of them picks!

Oh that's right...

In fairness, they got Revis too. Also um, well they did get Revis. Yet another way it's lonely on Revis Island.

Wrexxy and Lil Marky have been talking. It seems Lil' Marky has been studying Eli Manning and noticed he won a SB in his fourth year. Stop it Marky just stop it, just because eli won one doesn't mean you will. In fact most likely you won't be QB of the Rats past the first month of the season.

• Ryan talked about the masturbation of QB Mark Sanchez: "He's a true pro"

Four years into it, I think you expect it. You see it. I know the burning desire to win is there. There might be less messing around and a little more focus when you watch him now." Ryan said he wasn't surprised to hear that Sanchez, in an earlier interview, acknowledged he has studied the career arc of Eli Manning, who won his first Super Bowl in his fourth year.

He should have paid more attention to Brady's second year.

Marky doesn't have to worry about it, the first time he throws an incomplete pass the crowd will be calling for tebow. The first time L'l marky throws an INT the mob will get their wish.

Rookie DE Quinton Coples is having a quiet camp. Ryan suggested that the No. 1 pick is learned a number of different defensive fronts, which could be causing him to think too much. Coples has played end, 3-technique tackle, even a couple of plays at linebacker. "He's where I expected," Ryan said.

Vernon Gholston had a "quiet camp" too. He also thought to much.

Wasn't it Ray Ray over at JI who blamed last year's loss to the Pats in Jersey on the Green Beans "thinking too much"? This looks to be Jersey's Achilles heel: thinking. (We already know their fans have ample difficulty with it.)

I didn't want to resurrect the Otah thread, but I found this Tweet interesting:

Otah seems sort of disengaged about physical. Some in organization skeptical he'll pass or, if he does, that he can help the team. #nyj

Twitter / JennyVrentas: Otah seems sort of disengaged ...

That is the genius of Tannenbaum. He never thought Otah would pass the physical, but this move was brilliant to divert attention from the media from Tebow and Sanchez. If Vrentas wasn't chasing down this story, she could have reported that Tebow wore purple colored socks today to the stadium. This is why Tannebaum is so much smarter than the rest of the league.

The thing that scares me most about the JEST trading for Tebow is the possibility that the Pats don't know how to handle Tebow.

Oh, wait. . . .

Sanchez and Tebow went a combined 0-4 against the Pats last year. If they combined their forces... well let's just say I'm not expecting Captain Planet.

Jets are off tomorrow. Thru first 4 practices, Mark Sanchez has completed 59.4% of his passes in 11-on-11s. Tim Tebow has completed 46.2%.

59.4% of Sanchez' passes. That's an improvement! Maybe he is ready to take the next step this year and go from a below average QB to a average QB. His ceiling is limitless.

BTW, Sanchez was far better the first two days in non-contact drills than he was when they put the pads on and practiced closer to real game conditions. I think the first day he completed 75% of his passes and something like 70% the second day which makes his last two days that much worse.

Meanwhile Brady is probably around 80% so far.
