It is HORRIBLE.

Has the NFL learned absolutely NOTHING from last year's playoffs.

Last year was the ABSOLUTE WORST officiated playoffs I have seen in my 42 years on this planet. And I attribute it in large part to the breakup of officiating teams. At least then the head ref knew what he had in each guy and if someone was susceptible to making bad calls in one area the head ref would talk it over and over ride him. Now he knows jack xxxx about the other guys with him.

Then there is the conspiracy theory that I don't want to hang onto; but when the calls were as bad as they were last year in the Indy-Pitt game against Pitt and in the SB against seattle ............you just gotta wonder????
Is it possible the "commish" hasn't told his "SELECT" crew what the outcome is that he wants. Again I prefer to believe they were just INCOMPETENT; but you do have to wonder.

I watched all 4 games. There was not a single one without at least one if not several (Pats game at least 6) CRINGING MOMENTS.

Cringing moments was when I could see absolultely IRREFUTABLE VIDEO EVIDENCE of either a call 100% opposite of what was called on the field or a call that JUST FLAT OUT WASN'T CALLED. (see LT facemask and 2 holding calls on SD OL that were NOT called.)

Not sure what games you were watching. Did you perhaps turn on ESPN CLASSIC by accident??????

It seemed to me that the message the league sent down was to let the teams play, and unless its flagrant, keep the flags in your pocket. And Napolian has freaked out in public about it already. So, if they keep this trend up, the Dolts will hold on every play. And we will absolutely clock their WR's and Pay-a-ton.

The break up of the crews last year was only for the conference championships and the superbowl. I don't remember much controversy at all from the conference championships. In fact, if I remember right, both games were largely over by halftime, if not the first quarter. So really we're only talking about the superbowl, which was not a well officiated game. But it seems to me as though there were a series of bad calls that are kind of tough to attribute to the fact that the crews didn't work together much.

Now, now, let's be nice. I saw the CBS feed of the game, which I guess is what everyone else saw. Yes, there were at least one blatant holding call on SD the refs missed, and the no-call on LaDanian is inexcusable. Flat-out bad call. He got his MVP treatment on that, for sure.

But that is about par for most games, is it not?? The last two years the Pats haven't gotten many questionable calls go their way, even in reg season. I'm mostly guessing 'cause I don't see many games, living overseas. But from Gil and Gino's calls on the radio hookup I do not recall too many flagrants. Am I being too nice??

Anyway, I feel your pain. The refs had better not screw up the calls, or Kraft is going to have to sue.
