New Orleans gets the #1 pick this year, even though they had a 1% chance of winning. Payback for David Stern's blunder with the Chris Paul trade?

This follows Cleveland winning the #1 pick for Kyrie Irving, to help them after LeBron James left.

By the way I love how they don't even publicly show the balls spinning and being picked, they do it in a secret room and broadcast the envelopes being read!!

the NBA is a farce. Yes its rigged in every aspect.

It does open up for some interesting discussion. I look forward to all the proposals being put forth in the media in the coming weeks.

Talk about conflict of interest. Not only did the NBA own/run the New Orleans franchise this year, but they got Tom Benson (Saints owner) to buy the team. Nice secret handshake deal to get them the top pick and take the franchise.

you're kidding. They must have been desperate to get anyone they possibly could to buy the team, because Benson has proven to be a total buffoon.

Oh, and of course the "lottery" has the potential to be totally fixed. That was the entire point of a lottery and not a system where the worst team gets the first pick,
