Dominic Rhodes: Tony gave them 3 days off

I have no opinion on the 3 days rest thing. If they think it's better, good for them. As far as Rhodes name goes, it does end with "neek". It doesn't look like it should, but I figure that Dom, his teammates and coaches would know how to say his name.
I stand corrected if he pronounces it that way.

Seriously, don't forget in all this, they played Saturday so they have one extra day to prep than the Patriots this week.

When you figure it out, they will start practice around the same time as the Pats........with an extra day of rest, one fewer airflight and thousands of fewer miles traveled. Damn the NFL schedulers. (of course all those advantages didn't help the Chargers )

The NFL actually bailed the Pats out of a would-be scheduling jam if they had followed suit from the past few postseasons. Normally the Sat/Sun hosts for divisional weekend are announced BEFORE the wild-card games are played. This year, however, the NFL recognized that the Pats/Jets winner would likely fly out to San Diego so they held off announcing the hosts until Indy had defeated KC. I guarantee if KC had upset Indy, they would have played SD on Saturday and the Pats would have played Baltimore on a Sunday (being the more marquee matchup).

Personally, I'm all for the Pats keeping up their Sunday-to-Sunday routine.

That's the way to pronounce it when it's a girl's name.

I will say nothing further.

Predator, lets hope they use the game plan similiar to the last two wins,as no doubt BB will try and thwart them...it will be interesting to see waht type of offensive/defensive alignments we will see Sunday.Dont care what they are as long as they produce a win! I dont think I could watch the Colts in the SB....just listening to the broadcasters lines about "Peyton finally gets to the big game"will drive me up the wall...

Yeah, then Dominique Wilkins came along, but his name is spelled to be pronounced neek at the end.

i dont think its a big deal..they played a physical game against the ravens...know our team well and are playing at home... plus have some niggling injuries ..rest should help them IMO

Anyone remember the Miracle on Ice game in the 1980 Olympics? Well, I don't (I was too young and living in Russia at the time, where they didn't report on the game after the USSR loss), but I remember the moral well. The Russian team was far superior to the US team, and Russia's coach let his team study plays instead of having practice. The US, in the meantime, worked their butts off in practice (presumabely to "Eye of the Tiger"), and beat the USSR 4-3.

Remember that game well. They did not use Eye of the Tiger because the song came out with Rocky 3 in 1982. I wonder what song they used i say the movie Miracles but can't remember that.
