Having a team employee standing in full view of everyone while pointing a camera at the other sideline is surreptitious?
Actually Spygate was about Bill Belichick ignoring a league memo to stop having his employees standing on the sideline in full view of everyone and taping the other side and Goodell punishing him for ignorning league mandates in such a bold and for-all-to-see way.
There was nothing surreptitious about what the Pats were doing which is why the Jets saw it and told the league.
Just more inaccurate agenda driven spin from the media.

From day one King has had a huge issue with the filming, which is based on a huge misunderstanding of what actually transpired and what actual rules were violated. His logic has always been based on an emotional and moral level rather than on any actual hard evidence or genuine facts; he's a baseball guy who looks at MLB players gaining an edge over their competition by using steroids and lazily lumps what the Patriots did as an identical act.

King is able to do his job because he has built an exceptional network of contacts that delivers him superior information. However, when it comes down to original analysis and opinion he is lacking in comparison to his colleagues; his lack of knowledge on this topic is a prime example due in part because it is something that he just won't let go, despite being continually off base with his opinion and analysis.

The employee videotaping couldn't have been more obvious there on the field at the Meadowlands if he had a neon sign over his head flashing "Look at me!".

Peter King should be ashamed at his continued misrepresentation, but it pays the bills.

What ticks me off most is that Kraft and Belichick have never hit back against those who continue to perpetrate this, which says to me that there may be something far worse back there that they don't want to upset.

Peter King's moralistic, soap box with Spygate is beyond rediculous. He has been over exaggerating, and worse, misrepresenting the facts of Spygate since the beginning.

For a person with such a lofty media spot, and reputation, he's one of the many who lost all credibility, in my eyes , about his actual competence. Not just in his profession, but overall intelligence. I view him now, as a well placed mouthpiece for certain organizations and players, nothing more.

No, the Patriots organization has moved on from the tempest in a teapot known as Spygate - even if (some) fans and sportswriters haven't seen the wisdom of that yet.
