Yeah, it shows. Forgive me for using my brain to analyze those scouting reports. And where are the scouting reports from those 5 "very respectable" scouts who called Bequette very stiff prior to the combine?
Derek Wolfe Highlight: 2011 Big East Defensive POY - YouTube
Wolfe playing same conference as Reyes. So far the knock on Wolfe was that he played "feeble opposition" in Big East. Reyes probably played the top opposition. HAHA.
Player 1 who puts up much worse numbers than player 2 playing the same conference and same position is suddenly a much better prospect and "talent" than player 2. Only in the scouting reports of clown scouts, same idiots who called Bequette "very stiff" prior to the combine.
I don't agree with either of you idiots and you're clearly both thick skulled but here goes anyway: Football is a team sport and Derek Wolfe had much different assignments than Kendall Reyes had. Wolfe excels at playing the 3-technique/under rush DT position and only the truly elite ones get the big bucks (think Ndamukung Suh). Reyes on the other hand would play the spot on the DLine next to Wolfe and also offers the versatility of playing a DE spot in the 3-4. Reyes skill set is just more sought after in this day and age in the NFL.
All that being said, Wolfe would be a great 3rd down DT in our 4-3 scheme which is a position we clearly lacked last year after Myron Pryor got hurt. So as much as I know you love Derek Wolfe and I hate to break your heart, he is going to be a 3rd down rush DT option on most of the teams in the NFL. He could also be a project at the 3-4 5 technique DE spot.
