Harrison done for playoffs

I'll believe it when I see it. If/when we make to the SB, I expect Rodney to be playing.

Maybe this writer knows someone, who knows someone, who knows someone, but he is not local and Rodney is not in SD. I would expect one of the Boston writers to know more about the situation than a guy 3000 miles away.

maybe I'm just nuts but I don't believe any reports about injuries that don't come directly from the team. it's more my cynicism towards (sports) journalism than anything else I guess.

So now that punk reciever, Bobby Wade, from the Titans has a bounty on his head...

Playing on a cr@p team, he knocks a key player out of the playoffs with a bush-league cut block...

I know we have an AFC South team on the road next season. Is it Tennessee by chance?

Maybe, but the day after Rodney got hurt he told me RH was done for the year. He has a credible track record and sat on this until he confirmed it. I do not doubt it. Watch for hte team to release soemthing.

why didn't the team put him on IR?

Excellent point. Maybe for the same reason that they originally listed him as questionable and that BB was noncommittal in talking about it. Simply put, BB does not want to divulge any information to the enemy that he does not have to. But not putting him on IR costs him a roster spot that could go to someone, so he must think that there is nobody at the 53rd spot who would make the game day roster anyway. Right after Trotter announced on ESPN that RH would not play against the NYJ, the Pats made a similar announcement. My guess is that now that he has revealed more, the Pats may do so as well. New info today is that it is an ACL not and MCL. Increases the liklihood of surgery.

But putting him on IR frees up a roster spot doesn't it? Maybe allowing us to carry and extra lineman or receiver.

Rodney was already one of the six inactives. In order to make a difference, the person on teh new spot would have to leapfrog the other 5 inactives and someone else who actually played against the Jets. There is no such person.

Ok correct me if I'm wrong, Rodney could very well be put on IR, but If there is a chance he can play in the SB game ( or sooner ) then it is smart to not put him on the plane to SD since travel will cause a great amount of swelling in the knee during the flight, and he would have to fly back as well, therefore it is best that he stays in New England and rehabs if there is any chance that he plays in the next game if we advance...

I don't know if Bobby Wade has loved ones or children, but if he does, I'm going torture them and make him watch.

I think I've been watching too much 24....

Rodney is home in Atlanta. Think about it this way, as much as we love him, we trashed some pretty good clubs without him. If we beat San Diego wtihout him, is there anyone we cannot beat without him? If he is back for hte Super Bowl, it is just icing on the cake.

That 'Crap team' you referred to won 6 in a row before that game and would have made the playoffs if they won so the game WAS important for them to win and thats why they played dirty,to get an advantage - so get your facts straight,It was not the lions or raiders and they did have a chance to make the post season

Ok so he is home, I whole heartedly agree with you, I was just saying that it is a smart move not to travel with a knee injury.

I wish him all the best and a speedy recovery...

Do the playoffs include the Superbowl?

Breer is reporting that it's his right knee, saying it's the same one that he blew out last year. IIRC that's incorrect isn't it? It was the left knee he injured at Pittsburgh, right?

Even though the Pat's are secretive about injuries I would like to know how some one in SD "knows" this "fact". It does not make a lot of sense. It make more sense that the SD reporter would say this to cast aspersions on the Pat's.

Borges just said in his chat that Harrison has a slight tear of the ACL, not MCL, and is out for the playoffs.
