Serious question? Houston. Yates can't come in here and match brady drive for drive...of course you want Houston

Maybe the question is who would give the front 7 more trouble

Arian Foster or Ray Rice?

Beating Baltimore would be much more satisfying...

Beating Houston would probably be easier...

At the end of the day as long as we win, frankly my dear I don't give a damn

Same answer here, I agree.

Whoever's best. I don't want the Pats to beat the weaker team. I want them to mangle the best and prove they are the best in the AFC. And that's likely who they are going to get.

But....if the Texans do make it, and my boy Delhomme somehow ends up on that field I'm going to be torn just like I was during the 2003 Super Bowl. I love that dude. So from that perspective I'd rather it be the Ravens so I don't have to deal with that. But that's just me personally.

And then give me Rodgers in the Super Bowl because nobody's going to give Alex Smith the credit he so seriously deserves unless they win. If NE beats them people might still make excuses. I wanna beat the 15-1 team with the new elite QB, who really does deserve the title based on his play.

Unless....Brady wants to make a statement against his idol's team who passed on him in the draft when he ties Joe Montana for ring #4. That would be kind of cool too I suppose. Not to mention we could take out both Harbaughs and that would kind of be a win for the coach as well as Brady, no? That's kind of a big statement too. I can see Bill really wanting that.

But as far as next week, I just want the best. To be the best you gotta beat the best, and only cowards shy away from it and try to take the easy way out.

While your theory makes a lot of sense and will be admired by many, I want the clearest and easiest path to a SB victory, and sometimes a bit of good luck is definitely involved in getting there.

I don't think the fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers are worried b/c "they didn't beat the best" by luckily avoiding us in their last 3 SB runs....

Just get our team to the duck boat parade. I couldn't care less if anyone "doubts" the path that got us there.

Make no mistake... I WANT THE RAVENS!!! still have the image of Harbaugh taking a victory lap in our house after that game in 09. I WANT REVENGE.

Think through what you are saying. In 1996 the Pats beat JAX in the AFCCG at home. The week prior, JAX went on the road and edged DEN who was a superior team who also smoked the Pats during the regular season. Are you saying that you would have rather have had DEN beat JAX and NE go to DEN for the AFCCG.

At this point, you take the best scenario that facilitates a victory.

Houston, all day long.

While I think we can, and would beat either team, I think we'd roll over Houston (a dome team with minimal playoff experience). Baltimore would be our typical slugfest against them, which we would ultimately prevail, but with a greater potential cost (in injuries).

I want the path of least resistance.

Don't underestimate HOU. I'd rather have them than BAL but make no mistake. They are a tough, physical bunch with an outstanding pass rush and run defense. They'll try to beat on the Pats a little.

With that said I thought the Pats played a VERY physical game last night. That was a very good sign as they start to go up these more physical defenses & offenses.

I pick Houston to win today in an upset.
I think the Texans present a much bigger problem for the Patriots with their offense. I see the Ravens as the better defense but Houston has some definite playmakers on D.
I like the Patriots to beat either one but I honestly think the Texans, even with an unknown at QB, present the bigger challenge/threat to the Patriots.

Easily Houston. 3rd string QB, inexperienced playoff team and a quasi-dome team that will have to play outside in Foxboro in January. Though I must say that beating Baltimore would feel pretty good after our one and done two years ago.

Whoever it is, the Pats might have a day or 1.5 day of rest/preparation ahead of HOU/BAL because they played last night and they don't have to travel.

Let's just root for OT!!!

Extremely physical game today.

I'm careful of what I wish for nowadays, both are scary matchups in their own way.

Houston @ home. We don't want Baltimore-they need to be eliminated today.

Any true fan wants BAL and NYG, we are better than all 5 remaining teams IMO, and we got a home game and a crack at the title, bring the ones who beat us before.

Duplicate thread.

Mods please merge or delete. Thank you.

Am I wrong but does Baltimore truly have one scary player on offense in Ray Rice?

Smith is too new and Boldin looks like a shell of himself. Meanwhile Houston has Foster, Tate, Daniels and Andre Johnson?

So do I root for Balt. or Houston please? Decisions decisions, LOL.

Yes, I want the easiest road to the SB possible for the Pats!!!

houston, with a third string qb, going into baltimore and sending ray ray and tsizzle home, at home, and on a one and done to boot is enough revenge for me. bring me the head of tj yates.
