Anyone else a little nervous right now?

I will be nervous until I see which Brady decides to show up.

If Brady sees his shadow then we're in for 6 more week of winter.

I'm a bit nervous just because it's the playoffs. I'd be more nervous if I didn't have confidence in the Patriots winning fairly handily. I just hope the outcome isn't in doubt with 5 minutes to play.

I hope the outcome is set in stone after five min of play...NE up 14-0 and driving!! LOL

I guess I'm getting nervous but for different reasons than usual. I want the Patriots to win this game badly.

I just want to shut up all those who keep harping on the "playoff losing streak".

Have the referee crew been announced for this game?

Everyone knows the Patriots can score (32 per game in the regular season), but 13.5 points in January is a tough cover for a team that's rarely blown out teams in the playoffs.

Just think back to 2007. Sure, it was a very, very different team, but the offense was even more explosive. They won their two playoff games by 11 points and nine points. The third one? I don't remember it. Maybe it was canceled or something. Yeah, I think it was canceled. Anyway ...

This year, of course, is completely different than past years, and any talk of the Patriots' recent playoff failings is utter nonsense. The 2009 game against the Ravens started with Wes Welker on crutches and featured players like Laurence Maroney in the backfield and Chris Baker and Ben Watson at tight end. It was a weak team. And last year against the Jets, Aaron Hernandez was hobbled with a hip injury and Rob Gronkowski looked like a rookie all night long. This year, his 90 receptions and record 17 touchdowns indicate he'll likely be a bit more effective this time around.

So no, the Patriots don't have a playoff problem, and they're not going to lose to Tim Tebow's high school offfense, especially considering they've already seen it this year. Remember when the Patriots got a hold of Miami's Wildcat the second time around? How'd that end up?

But two touchdowns on what should be a cold evening in Foxboro is a bit too much. The points are the safe road here -- especially if everything I just said turns out to be as ridiculous as everything I said before last year's Patriots playoff game.

I can see the Broncos within 10 with 5 min left...

But i can also see them starting the game leading 7-0 or 3-0..which would suck

I'm not nervous at all, really excited though. Then again, ask me this question half an hour before kickoff tomorrow night...

Couldn't agree more, every sucky fan should be cast aside so the best franchise in football isn't stuck with a bunch of whiney infants.

Let's start with you, and don't wait for saturday just jump ship now.

oh wait, you already have, too late.

How did I jump ship with my comment, losing 3 home playoff games in a row isnt exactly a positive. Good one kiddo?

I was getting nervous in the middle of the week, but now I find that those are mostly gone. Our team sounds confident and ready, take that on top of the adjustments they have made this season, and the fact they have never given up in any game, and I just don't see us falling apart in this game, even if it gets close.

I kind of braced myself last week for all the nonsense the media would spout with our next game regardless of the opponent. I knew they were going to point to our previous play off record and make it sound like we can never win another play off game. They are saying that all the pressure in the world is on TB and BB which I know isn't true. These guys aren't as affected by those last losses as everyone thinks they are. They knew what kind of team they had those last 2 years and they know what they have in this one.

I think our defense is going to play lights out tomorrow, and limit Tebow more than everyone is expecting. We will then endure the next week of people still discrediting them and saying, "yeah well it was only Tebow". I am looking forward to this one.

Oh ok...well that has me breathing a sigh of relief.

Watching the interviews this week, then reading that Cole piece, I was getting worried.

Like I said before, I'm not too worried about our opponents from here on out. If the Pats play sound Patriot football, we're in the Super Bowl.

They are focussed, and that is good.
I will say right now that Brady is going to be a total beast in the playoffs.
This post season is going to add to his legacy and when the SB is over the GOAT talk starts for real.
I would not be surprised to see the best 3 games stretch he has ever had it his career.

Three things make me nervous:

1) Denver has nothing to lose.

2) We have way too much to lose, given our last two playoff appearances.

3) The "God on My Side" factor. ha-ha esp under NFL parity

I remember this time last year before we played the Jets, I had a very bad feeing about that game. This time around however, I don't feel nervous one bit. I am confident that we will win.

I'll be nervous at kickoff (does any other loser fan get butterflies like me?).

Guilty! They start waking up about an hour before, and don't go away until/unless there's at least a 2 TD lead, or a 7+ lead and possession with less than 2 minutes to go, a first down and no opposing timeouts.

I've got them now. I'll have them until Sunday morning.

Lame old joke, I know, but this may calm you; it's hard to be scared of:

Officiating the game will be Gene Steratore and his crew.

What's the story with this officiating crew? They let stuff go, or they call a lot of offensive line holding and pass interference?

Let's go of some of DPIs and such. Last year, he was rated mid to bottom in DPIs thrown.
