Anyone else a little nervous right now?

I'm pretty nervous. The way the defense has lapses where it literally can't do a thing to get off the field at times just worries me.

The last 1/4 of the season I've had to keep telling myself to calm down and that this team requires putting on your Pat Patriot Patience Hat before jumping to conclusions. Obviously, the playoffs are a whole new ballgame where the margin for error is trimmed down and victory is a far more uphill achievement to reach if you play a 1st half like the one submitted against Buffalo recently.

The encouraging thing about this team is that it seems to have the right edge compared to previous years. They'll make adjustments, play with a chip on their shoulder, and hopefully not take dumb penalties or make boneheaded plays when the chips are on the table.

I'd love to see the defense here morph into a playoff juggernaut.

more excited than nervous... there is no way we lose this game.... none... if we do, boy there will be more questions than awnsers for Belichick and BRady.... but we wont worry about awnsering that... not untill we play the ravens next week....
Yep, quiet confidence and excitement.

yeah I am only nervous about being ashamed and embarrassed for the Patriots.. because lets face it if they go down 3 years in a row at home in their first round.. there is going to be a lot of **** talking and rightfully so. Not to mention this would be the worst play off loss in team history.

This is what has me more nervous than anything.

I am more anxious, less nervous. Its dangerous to play a team that has nothing to lose and other than Brady and Faulk, this team is not the one used to winning all the time. That being said I think a win would do wonders for the young D and the TEs. Brady HAS to be great so we don't just win but win by a wide margin. Confidence is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE factor.

I am very worried about the D and am hopeful that the return of Chung will help.

Not at all.

Yep, and that's what's wrong with this so called fan base nowadays in a nutshell. Frontrunneritis and fear of being embarassed often after acting like a jerkward on opposing teams web sites ad nauseum.

OK, I'll admit it.

I'm extremely nervous. Not necessarily about the opponent. Just about the game itself. It's the ******* playoffs!

I get very nervous for every game. For playoff games I get nervous enough to puke. Instead of puking I'll try to scream it out of me Saturday night.

the only thing I'm afraid of is being ashamed of how bad the beating will be......I see the pats picking up right where they left off in the last game with the broncos

my biggest reason is that the softness of the pats defense is the worst thing for tebow and his big plays......what happened with pittsburgh is not going to happen tomorrow night simply because if the pats play the broncos the way they did over the last 3 quarters of the previous game, I don't believe the broncos can scheme a consistent offense. the defense just needs to be patient and let tebow screw the pooch......because he will......

Definitely more excited. Somehow I can't envision the BB/TB duo going into the record books for all those less flattering records we're hearing about.

These days I am ALWAYS nervous. Super Bowl 42 really messed me up. After all, if there was ever a playoff game that you thought was a lock, that one was it......

1.) Pats went into the game undefeated
2.) Pats had already beaten this team on the road just a few weeks earlier
3.) Pats scored a record number of points/touchdowns in the regular season
4.) Game would be played indoors = ideal for scoring points (especially for this record setting offense)
5.) Pats were facing #5 seeded team that had trouble just qualifying for the playoffs

I had every reason to feel good/confident about this game and think it was a slam dunk and POOF we all know what happened. Big time reality check.

Therefore, I will never have that same feeling of confidence again. The saying really is true "ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!", and as such I will ALWAYS be nervous about playoff games.

Over the past month I've become acustom to them getting off to slow starts and having to put together comeback after comeback. So oddly enough the only way I'd be nervous is if they actually did the opposite and started off strong. They could become complacent in the 2nd half and we all know running the ball isn't their strength. So that all adds up to Tebow time rearing it's ugly head. In the end I'm confident Brady, McD & BB will have a solid gameplan to put up too many points for even TD Jesus to overcome.

Heads should ******* roll if the Patriots lose this one.

I do get nervous esp when pats are expected to win. But if you want a real taste of nervousness...watch the game thread when broncos get their 1st first down.:)

Couldn't agree more, every sucky fan should be cast aside so the best franchise in football isn't stuck with a bunch of whiney infants.

Let's start with you, and don't wait for saturday just jump ship now.

oh wait, you already have, too late.

Oh if they lose another 1st playoff game as #1 seed..something major has to change...Just don't start slow..and they will be fine

Not really nervous..just excited to see them play again. I am very confident they win this one...they can't lose this game..just can't

I wasn't even nervous when the Pats were down 21-0 a few weeks ago.

Admittedly, it wasn't a loser-go-home playoff game.

LOL. The Pats have to make sure they don't get ANY!

I believe that Denver under Tebow had the most three and outs in the NFL? Right?

I'm usually always nervous until I see #12 pointing out the Mike...that soothes me for a while. Then I can't fully relax 'till I see the victory fomation.

About this game though...if we took a snapshot of the possible teams coming to Gilette for this game, Denver was on top of most of our wishlists. The fact that they beat a decimated Steelers team at home should make us all feel a bit better.

The last time thse teams played we didn't see Chung or Spikes. Carter got hurt halfway through. Matthew Slater was in at nickel. Branch was out.

and we still killed them.

#12 will point out the Mike, and begin his surgery in the 1st quarter. Unfortunately for Denver, they are facing a 13-3 squad that is as healthy as we've seen them since week 1, and playing with a larger than average chip on their shoulders.
