C'Mon Bengals - Don't Fail Us Now (Andy Dalton Misses Practice With Flu)

For the MOST part... last year's playoff game notwithstanding... BB seems to gameplan better against someone he's already played that season.

That said, I don't care who they play next week. As long as they beat 'em.

False. All five of our playoff losses in the Belichick/Brady era came against teams we had already faced in the regular season.

I do believe Cincy is the only northern team that has no indoor practice facility.

They really are perceived by the NFL players association as cheapskates.

Yes. They are the only team in the NFL out of 32 teams that don't have an indoor practice facility. Mike Brown is a cheap SOB who won't even build a bubble.

They also have the smallest scouting team in the NFL too.

Nfl playoffs wildcard weekend thread

Go Bengals... Go Lions... Go Broncos... Go Falcons... IMO

Re: Nfl playoffs wildcard weekend thread

Actually if the bengals win... Do we want to see the steelers win??? Blood Bath between ravens and steelers and if the steelers win that game, we would get steelers instead of ravens.

Just a thought...

I want to see the Ravens and Steelers beat the crap out of each other. So...yes. As long as we only have to play one of those two, it doesn't matter which to me.

Who To Root For!!

No "Who To Root For" Thread??

My take...

1 ~ Bengals over Planet Hoosten. Even though I'm really rooting for Hoosten, because I called for them to have a Break Out Year, and because I'm calling for them to win, today...and because I simply like the team...I would MUCH rather know we're facing the Bengals, next week, and allow the possibility of the Steelers and Ravens beating the crap out'f each other...

2 ~ Lions over Saints. Again, I'm conflicted, because I originally picked the Saints to advance to the Super Bowl, before the season ~ beating the Lions in the NFC Championship game!! ~ and I expect them to win, today...But I fear the Saints more than any NFC team, and, furthermore, I would LOVE to give the Lions a chance to beat the snot out'f the Packers!!

3 ~ Falcons over Giants. Even though I'm rooting for the Lions, I expect the Saints to win, so the winner of this one probably plays the Packers...And I like the Falcon's chances of an upset better than that of the Giants.

4 ~ Broncos over Steelers. I actually give the Broncos a very solid shot at winning this one, and that would be terrific, if the Hoostens beat the Bengals, as I expect, as we'd draw the Broncos...Of course, if the Bengals upset Planet Hoosten, I'll be a BIG Steelers fan, tomorrow!! :D

Re: Who To Root For!!

Don't forget about our first round pick from New Orleans either.

Re: Who To Root For!!

I agree with all 4. This game (Cin v Hou) is the only one I have any conflicting feelings about, I kinda like both teams and my buddies buddy works for the FO of Houston, so if they make it to Gillette he could get some nice tix to the game (but not me, so why do I care?).

Re: Who To Root For!!

Wait ... don't these threads usually mention draft picks? Guess the #1 from NO isn't going to be great no matter what happens the rest of the way (as expected), but every little bit helps. :)

And yeah, I agree: Saints would be toughest SB matchup for NE.

Steelers are too banged up to make any noise in these playoffs.

I don't care if Ben is on crutches while playing, I'd still rather face Tebow.

Re: Who To Root For!!

Um, no. You want the Steelers OUT. Period.

Maybe YOU want the Steelers out, but if the Bengals win I'd rather see Pitt and Baltimore beat the Sh!t out of each other than the Ravens ripping the Tebows apart en route to the AFCCG.

Now, if the Texans win....GO BRONCOS!

Go ahead and make a poll. Which team would you rather see the Pats play, Denver or Pittsburgh?

Re: Who To Root For!!

I agree with the OP on all counts but not his logic.

Obviously, Denver.

That's why who I root for tomorrow depends on who wins today...just like I said in my previous post.

I could never ever ever ever root for the Steelers.

never.

Even if the Pats needed the Steelers to win to get in to the playoffs, I would have a very difficult time holding down my vomit long enough to root for them.

I would certainly never root for them because of something so petty as matchups.

Re: Who To Root For!!

Makes zero sense to root for the Steelers at any time. Yeah lets keep Ben and their #1 defense in the playoffs but get rid of the .500 team with the worst QB in the NFL.

Zero sense.

That's taken out of context though, it should be who would you rather see the Pats play, Pitts or Balt?

With a Bengals win today, I think we're far better off with a Steelers win as well. Denver has a very small chance of getting through Balt if they beat Pitts. I'd rather see Pitts and Balt take it out on each other and we face the winner of that game, and let's face it we're most likely going to end up playing at least one of them.

Of course I'd rather face the Bengals and then Denver in the AFCCG but that's extremely unlikely.

As far as the Saints and Lions go, I'm torn. I know logic says we want the elite quarterback out, but with NO gone the Packers have an easy road to the super bowl. Although in a potential matchup, I'm not sure if I'd rather have the Saints anyway.

Don't fool yourself. That defense is fearsome, Ben is indestructible, and they have a top receiver corps.
