For me I think I would go with Brees, followed closely by Rodgers. It seems to me that he would be the best fit for the type of offense that the Pats run where the QB and the receivers read the defense and both need to be on the same page.

Either Brian Hoyer or Ryan Mallot. But there is no option for Mallot.

Hoyer. He knows the system.

And yes that was dead serious.

Puting every QB on this list except Brees, Rodgers and Bigben and not puting Matt ryan is a disgrace. after brees and rodgers i'll take him first hands down. and Sam Bradford after him.

But why even dealing with this question? i dont want to even imagine a snap without TFB.

Right now? Aaron Rodgers (obvious choice I think...) If you asked again in one or two years? Cam Newton or Ryan Mallett :)

Edit: Brees would be acceptable, I could never take in Roethliswhatever, Cassel is hurt, Tebow isn't even a REAL QB, Stafford is very overrated IMHO, Newton and Freeman are both excellent players (I hope Freeman bounces back, I think he is better then Alex Smith/Rex Grossman/Suckchez bunch)

In the perfect world, BB would have found some way to put Matt Cassel in carbonite after the 2008 season and unfreeze him when Brady hung 'em up.

I'm with you on Brees. Rodgers wouldn't be a bad choice either. BB & Brees would be just as lethal as Brady & BB. Brees is one tough dude.

For one game, Hoyer. He knows the offense and the receivers.

Give Brees/Rodgers a few weeks of practice and they are now the clear choice.

my fifteen year old niece and all her high school girlfriends want Marky Murk Sanchez...they say he's so dreamy...

That doesn't make him win games.

is there a word for sarcasm in Spain?

Rodgers and then Brees, no question.

I think a more interesting question would be "If TFB announced his retirement who would you want as a realistic successor"?

Rodgers and Brees arent going anywhere, and Mallett just isn't my cup of tea. My binkie is Ricky Stanzi, I'd LOVE to see us get our hands on him and groom him as a potential heir.

I think the stage is clearly set for Tyler Palko to be the greatest NFL QB of all time.

Well, there's a phrase: "General Francisco Franco es todavía muerto."

At least, that's how I remember it. My Spanish may be a bit rusty.

I would take Hoyer in a heartbeat to finish the season. He, at least, knows the playbook and is ready from day one.

I think Aaron Rodgers is just the flavor of the year. I'd take Brees or Roethlisberger over him as they have a longer proven track record.
