I really don't understand why the Patriots pass up quality for quantity when it comes to the draft, yet when they draft so-called talented guys like Taylor Price, or Shane Vareen or Steven Ridley, they wind up standing on the sidelines all game. Obviously, injuries had something to do with Price and Vareen, but they seem to be 100% healthy, and they are either standing on the sidelines dressed. Or not dressed at all. Price showed in the preseason that he has talent, and has learned the play book (unlike Ocho Stinko). Vareen, for Christ's sake, can't we use he speed and talent on the kick return ? Ridley, rushes for 97 yards on only 10 carries, and he's only carried the ball 3 times in the last 3 games.
Granted, it was nice to see Gronkowski and Hernandez used immediately, but I'm so tired of the Pats passing up primo talent for tons of draft choices that don't even make it onto the field, or just downright suck. You can flame away if you like, but I can give several examples of players we could have picked that could have helped continue the Dynasty, unfortunately poor drafting has killed the Dynasty.
