If they are otherwise eligible (credited service). Not sure Cannon would make it through waivers. Don't think Brace or Deaderick are eligible. Faulk certainly isn't...

O.K. Thanks for the answer Mo

I dont think it wise to redshirt Vereen at this point, especially when he's just now getting on the field. But who knows.

what else can we do with him? He's a RB that hasn't touched the ball and now it's too late to let him touch the ball! Or something.

His development is secondary to what a player can do performance wise for this team.

I'm aware, thanks. All I'm saying is a don't expect him to be IRed. It also remains to be seen at what level Faulk is able to perform this season.

2 Experienced SCAT Backs in the Backfield and Riddley

our offense has a new look

edit- I forgot Lawfirm

It's okay, lot's of people forget about the law firm, even other teams but then he makes them pay for it.

If he's able to contribute, Faulk could be a big addition to this offense.

This defense line is so so so so scary, haynesworth, wilfork, ellis, carter, anderson, kyle love, warren and now your telling me we are getting brace and deadrick back!!!!!! people forget about brace and deadrick but they are very good d-linemen. Faulk and woodhead in the same backfield is my dream.

I'm excited about Brace. He was very stout against the run when he played last season.

I wonder if they might IR Woodhead and go with Faulk in what likely would be his last year as a Patriot. I can't see anyone else being shelved or cut to make way for him on the active roster, if BB wants him to play.

Why would they IR Woodhead? He played just fine on the last drive of the game..

You can't see the Pats cutting Tarpinian, S. Brown, J. Barrett, D. Gronkowski, Guton, or Philip Adams to make way for Faulk on to the 53 man roster? As for the Active roster (game days) I can easily see Vereen ending up in street closes as Inactive.

DAMN, I forgot Faulk was still on the team.

Question: Can any player coming off PUP go on the PS??

If they have eligibility, yes. However, they have to clear waivers. So, the Pats could not try to put Cannon there because someone would claim him.

I won't go so far as to say that Deaderick and Brace are "very good D-linemen". Not yet anyways. Both have potential. Brace teased us last year before his injury. Deaderick played decently enough, but the Patriots expect more. That was obvious when they suspended him for Wk 17 last year.

Unless injury strikes the DL we might see the Walking Deaderick.
His job is at high risk because of the 2011 players we have as competition

Vereen is close to the most useless player on the roster. IRing him to make room for Faulk makes perfect sense.

Never mind what you think of Faulk vs. Woodhead if Woodhead is healthy. The role is so important that having it well backed-up is very valuable on its own ... especially since guys in it take a lot of hits from guys bigger than them.

And by the way, Faulk pre-injury was a better blocker than Woodhead.

Was thinking the same thing about Woody. He hasn't seem to factor into the game plan as much this year.

Brace gives us option at 1 & 3 tech and Deadrick gives us options at 43LDE 5 tech w. Shaun Ellis.

(a) was a factor in early games

(b) was injured

(c) made not one but 2 big plays in the game winning drive Sunday
